I rate Zirkzee heavy far more than Hojlund but replacing Martial is tough on anyone. I guess Zirkee is the closest thing just without the dribbling

Why does the quality of chance matter? A chance is a chance, this is the premier league. If I’m running towards the opposition keeper and I force a save. I’ve just missed a CHANCE. I don’t understand this “quality of a chance” crap

Higher chance quality means more players have a chance to score.... think of creating many tap-ins per game

Garnacho should have went near post, it’s called IQ, the curving shot was unlucky off the bar but what about Bruno’s rebound off it, fans were going mad at him but some would say that’s not a high quality chance, Bruno’s outside of the boot shot was unlucky, de ligt had a headed chance. They’re all chances. Tap ins are gonna happen if the team sets up properly in or around the 6 yard box on a regular basis. We don’t play like that AT ALL.

True... the guys should have scored, that's a player problem, but looking at your original question of quality of chances, its a manager problem if the quality ain't high enough consistently throughout the game imo

Big up Faz and Rants. I'm a Liverpool fan. Zirkzee is a balla. He's a false nine, like Firmino was, and like Messi was under Pep. Basically 10s who are playing in the ST position. Firmino is more of a team player or a virtuoso where he was a pressing machine. Zirkzee is a maverick (not a criticism). Firmino had little goal threat especially when he had 27 goals in all comps in 17/18, but I think Zirkzee has a lot more goals in him. These type of players need 2 wing forwards on the outside of them to see the best of them. And the thing is since you guys don't have proper wing forwards who can hit 25+ goals a season, some people in your fanbase expect him to be the main man. Try to build the team around these type of players.

Arsenal’s system creates enough chances that they don’t need a facilitator type striker like Zirkzee or Jesus. They need a gunman who can put the ball in the back of the net more than anything. United do not benefit from a system like that, so our striker needs to be good at linking with others in order for us to get any joy in possession
