Waw !!! this guy is fantastic. I finally understand. I just dont understand why most or more teacher cant be like this. It does not matter where you go to school or what level, the goal should be learning the material and if you have to be crazy and animated like this guy then do it. Taking the MCAT soon and finally I understand the standing waves section. Thank you my friend. You are a true master

Man, that was really good!!! When teaching a subject that's new to people, its important to teach as if they don't already know all the details. I appreciate how you broke everything down and gave real life examples to compare and explain with. Again, GREAT JOB.

you would only get a noble prize if you came up with a new idea or create theory that was needed to explain a phenomena .
@KaWulfe
@KaWulfe 10 жыл бұрын
Not always, for example you also have Nobel prizes for literature. And it was probably more of a funny way of saying that he or she is really thankful to this guy for doing this and thinks he's great, it wasn't serious. Plus, also: it's Nobel not noble because it's a name so usual grammar does can't apply: Nobel.

λ is the Greek letter for wavelength (measured in meters) its called "lambda" this is the term that is mostly used in physics. However in standing waves they often use L (length) since this area of study often deals with strings and they just use L, instead of λ, to give you the length of strings like on a guitar or a violin or any string that is under tension. Both terms can be used. Don't get confused. λ - lambda is the proper term for wavelength. Hope that helps.

Standing waves are important to optical lattices, which basically will become important for the construction of "perfect" crystals and nano-scopic data storage.

Just want to point out that usually we use f0 (f zero) to represent "fundamental frequency" instead of "f1." F1 refers to the "first formant" on the spectrogram.

Hence, a high-end car audio's accuracy in low-end reproduction is hugely determined by the interior space of the vehicle. That's why, many serious SQ (sound quality) vehicles such as Jon Whitledge's brilliant Magic Bus (Mercedes Sprinter van) are mostly NOT small little hot hatches. The huge interior space is able to allow low-frequencies (long wavelength) to fully "form", and this helps reduce standing waves.
