I like how your training video is not edited drastically. You show how much patience it takes. Nice job.

True variable reward schedule would just mean that you didn't CLICK for the commands. If you click you gotta pay. Otherwise you are watering down your clicker. Also, variable PACKAGE is a powerful concept in combination with variable SCHEDULE. Awesome videos.

ok i'm watching the whole series a couple times. I'm on my 3rd dog and first time clicker user. I like it so far. Thanks for the help.

Really nice training video. I thought you pushed it a bit. It does dogs good to think about things between sessions and you don't need to cover so much ground.

Hey Guys, I love your videos and have used your clicker training for my new pup and she is responding really well, so thank you! I may have missed it, but I was wondering if there is a video in your library that talks about teaching your pup to stay? Cheers, V

Hi! My Labrador puppy and I have been using all your videos so far and they have been great tools. One question is she gets super amped up for our training sessions we do them with her morning and evening meals that she often barks a lot during this lesson. As she makes her way to the bed she kind of hop jumps and barks. Then she will politely sit on her bed. I don’t want the barking but I’m not sure how to get her to break it. She knows the end goal is to sit on her bed.

Hey I have a quick question for you, I have a Yellow lab that is a year old now. He is an amazing dog listens well, love hunting, running, fishing,swimming and being super active. Just wondering if you have a recommendation for an active dog food. Thank you for your time! Cheers

Your videos are amazing! I have been watching to train my GSP. Curious to know, if you use any special treats or just kibble for training? I have read various articles that suggest that training with treats may lead to a wrong behavior in the future. Is that accurate?

In the early weeks of this training are you giving commands outside of training or holding all commands except for during the training sessions? Keep it up this stuff is great!

Ethan or Kat what is the proper order of training for the Sprig playlist?? It almost looks like the videos are out of order or something like he is more mature in the middle videos than the beginning or end?

What do you do if you can’t get the dog off of the bed?? MY GSP understood so well that being on her bed gave her a treat that she wouldn’t get off of the bed!!

I plan to use whistle commands for my pup. I feel like using a clicker might be too much variation. Any thoughts?
@StandingStoneKennels4 жыл бұрын
We would recommend using a clicker
@doctorploegs4 жыл бұрын
@@StandingStoneKennels Thank you! For additional clarity, I should say I plan to use whistle and hand signals for field activity. Clicker training would still be recommended for baseline command training? Appreciate your videos!

@jakobefoster73714 жыл бұрын
Can you also use a regular dog bed that doesnt stand up
@StandingStoneKennels4 жыл бұрын
You can. We just find that the raised dog beds create a more distinct boundary for the dogs and that helps them understand better when they are on or off the bed!
@alexencarnacion60273 жыл бұрын
Hi! What size Kuranda Bed do you use for your GSPs? I'm getting a vizsla.
