Hey serious question here, why do you go outside of your repair area on your first coat? And what do you do if your color doesn’t match 100% ??

Hi, thanks for contacting us. Not sure we understand your question fully? The application method used in this video demonstrates how to apply the basecoat to the side of a vehicle with the key point being not to apply your effect coat beyond your first coat so as to avoid creating too much over/underspray on the remaining area.

Hello, what size nozzle do you suggest to spray standoblue with Iwata LS400, 1.2 ET or 1.3 ET, or other type of nozzle. Thank you for your reply

Hi, thanks for the question and our interest. If the LS 400 is your gun of choice then I would suggest to use the 1.2 ET. This is based on use in standard EU conditions and not where humidity levekls are low. You may find that the WS 400 with an OBS set iup to be a better solution, again this is climate dependant.

1.2 what? looks like 1.2 RP, and the HVLP dosn't come in '1.2' only WSB. It also could mean RP 1.2 W. Can you please confirm the exact tip, getting new guns together with Standoblue mixing bank next week. (Finally).. My Rep. Sales said he would recommend the 1.2 W, but never sprayed blue with it.. Thanks in advance :-)

If you like to use SATA RP, we suggest either SATA 5000 RP 1.2 or new SATA 5500X RP 1.2O

How many grams ready for use did you need for this job?
@StandoxOnline5 жыл бұрын
Honestly its too long ago to remember, but it took 3 mins to paint and the gun we used consumes approx. 170g/min = 0.5 litre RFU. Hope that answers your question.

Is this base-coat a modified acryl-polymer?
@StandoxOnline3 жыл бұрын
This waterborne basecoat is a combination of resins selected to provide optimum results under different application conditions.

@@StandoxOnline Yes, but it is a form of acryl-polymer? I read a lot about the unpolar products, solvents, acryl, polyurethane and epoxy where I get most answers from literature. The car water soluble base coats are still a mystery for me. I am impressed by how you solved the clouding, where the suspension itself seems to arrange a clouding free result. It's magical!
