Can someone explain me the fundamentals of this game? I don't play but I enjoy watching? Why aren't you supposed to shoot Scavs? What's the difference between the scav role and PMC What's a pmc? Why Pmcs can you shoot Scavs but Scavs can't shot Scavs Thanks in advance

PMC is your main character which you level up and equip for raids. You have to pay ingame cash for the gear. As PMC you load in a fresh raid. As scav you get a free kit with usually trash equipment and you "scav in" in the middle of an ongoing raid. The purpose scaving is looting for money without having the risk of loosing your gear, and if you die it doesn't hurt your ingame wallet. You have a cooldown of about 20 minutes after every scav raid to prevent scav spaming As scav it's unwise to shoot other scavs because you have karma, if you shoot or kill other scavs, you'll become a target for AI scavs. As PMC you can shoot everyone without consequences (there's an exception but it would go too deep into detail here)
