Hi, If you look back at your video you can see your broken off silver micro switch lever wedged between the hidden anti theft micro sticker and the body of the stapler., at the centre of the base. As Jackie said just glue back in , took a chance bending rod as easily broken. I've stripped two down one had the micro switch lever come off, with also a fracture on the bend of the sliding safety rod close to the plastic attachment that presses on the micro switch. The other gun had completely snapped off in the same place where the first gun was fractured and the plastic attachment that pushes against micro switch was loose inside. Definitely manufacturing fault. Made good by brazing joints to make stronger.

The small silver metal lever on the micro switch is what has broken off (mine did the same thing). In the interests of safety I used a hot melt glue gun to reattach the lever to the micro switch and it works just fine now. On my old tacwise gun that didn't have that feature I often fired it off accidentally when picking it up, to the point where the "hammer" broke the nose of the gun due to it not being pressed up against a workpiece when firing.

Shocking design for a safety switch. I've had 4 of these and each one has failed in the same place. I'm pleases I used amazon and got a replacement except for my 4th gun which has been stripped and repaired.

This is a safety switch, poorly designed. I removed the arm/spring out, removed the switch, 2 screws under the glue pack then cut 2 wires and take out. Join the cut/strip wires, soldering gun and shrink wrap. Painfully put it back together and done. Dumb feature that probably saving them from lawsuits, remember safety. This is now bypassed, don't point it, treat it like a gun!! It takes an hour to do this bypass job.
