I enjoyed the session with Stanley and James. They talk intelligently and well grounded. There was a time when makossa took over africa with Awilo and kofi. For now its Afrobeats and its been powered by Nigerians mostly. I feel every artist should put more effort into their work and the rest will be history. Africans has so much talent ❤

Meh, Stanley Enow time don pass. He peaked early, around 2013-2015. (I still remember that “Hein Pere” single.) He shouldn’t have had to do all this pillar-to-post hustling he’s doing now. Funny how in 2014 he won an award over Burna Boy, then less than a decade later it’s Burna Boy with a Grammy while he’s at a party somewhere telling the DJ to stop playing Nigerian music “for hours and hours.” Levels don change. And seriously, what is it with other Africans being reluctant to give Nigeria its full props? Is it some secret blood oath y’all take or something? Because for all the Congolese, Ghanaian, Cameroonian, and South African legends and genres you mentioned, none were able to crack that global code regarding African music that Nigerians have done with Afrobeats. Even Amapiano had to be adopted by Nigerians to push it to the next level of recognition. You can continue to overanalyze for all you want (as you often do), but it’s not going to change that fact. If any Nigerian here thinks that all the complaining, moping, and wailing from some Ghanaians is bad, the noise from Cameroon is arguably worse. This is a country that at least borders Nigeria, and yet some never-was launched an “80-20 Or Nor Nor” campaign, something that Stanley Enow backed with his actions at that party. All this with only a 6-million Anglophone populace. Some of them are already dissecting Kocee’s song with Patoranking. It’s like their mindsets are as old and senile as the dictator that has ruled them for 4 zillion years. Nigerians may not scream “pan-Africanism,” but based on our extensive history of helping other African countries, at least we truly practice it. Not with this fake, “Africa-without-borders,” cho-cho-cho, kumbaya, touring-slave-castle nonsense.

Yes the noise from Cameroon might be worse and louder, but the bad belly from Ghana is definitely worse. Ghanaians are more delusional and imagine that Nigeria is their mate. I don't think Cameroon thinks we are their mate (except in soccer). Ghanaians also pretend the pan-africanism thing more, even while Nigeria's recent successes and the venomous bile of envy it has induced is killing them.. Also, not minding how relatively well-travelled Ghanaians are (as compared to the Cameroonians), they still remain very local bush people. Imagine hosting the African Games, and not bordering to promote it internationally (like Côte d'Ivoire managed to do with the Afcon). Instead undertaking it as a local Ghana affair, with their very local standards and facilities, and very substandard TV coverage from their Ghana TV. So the artistes that were called to perform in the opening and closing ceremony shouldn't expect any international boost or exposure from these Ghana Inter-house sports outings.

@@Ebwalkman You make excellent points. Like I mentioned somewhere else, Ghanaians are the LAST people to complain about Nigerians, especially when it comes to entertainment. Some of the biggest Naija stars have put their Ghanaian counterparts on some of the biggest stages in the world, even when people like me didn’t believe they’d done enough to deserve it. And let’s not even get started with Nollywood… I recently started making videos, and some of my time will be dedicated to calling out this type of behavior. Some Ghanaians thump their chests to declare that they’re the “gateway of Africa” and the bastion of pan-Africanism. Well, it’s not just by making mouth; they actually have to practice it. They ought to live up to the standards they set up for themselves.

This Olele wanted to trick Stanley by asking him about the difference between continental stages and concerts just because Stonebowy brought out Odumedublack. Well, Odumedublack is already big, he doesn't need any endorsement from Stonebowy, he is known in Nigeria and everywhere. My advice to Olele is to let him know that Stone just wanted to promote the song. If Odumedublack wasn't big, Stone wouldn't be introducing him on that stage. Please Olele stop hating Nigeria because if your name is mentioned in Nigeria, I bet not even 200 people will know you.
