That's good new's Frank, and it was good of Stanley to send a battery out to you ,at the end of the day Stanley want your business. Tool station needs to sort there business out and keep things up to date , because Toolstation also want your business. I'm glad you had your battery mate, Take care👍

Hi Frank, I had a similar situation. I bought the Trend Router with a plunge base from Amazon plus 2 batteries. I didn't check at first, but there was only one in the case. Amazon was good about they allowed me to select one from their site with a credit they gave. They didn't have to, but I think it would have been too much of a faff to return the whole unit.

😁 Luckily for us consumers, sometimes the manufacturers have a good ethos when it comes to customer satisfaction. In my case it technically wasn't Stanley Fatmax's responsibility, but they sent me the battery at there own expense. But this does mean I will definitely continue to buy there products 😁. Thanks for watching Andrew 😁👍

...AND the *exact* model number. I got my dad a Makita Drill Driver kit that was meant to come with the same, but when I registered it the particular kit I got didn't qualify despite being above the tag in store.

😕 I don't know what its like way down under but in the UK we are fairly well protected against "false advertizing" so you can normally either return the product or get a refund.... but its always a pain and a lot of hard work to get there. So most people just don't bother. Having said that, this Stanley deal is a good one, but now I know what to be aware of. Thanks for watching James 😁👍

@@frankslittleworkshop by the time I got home and registered the tools for dad I was 4 hours away from the big box store I got them from. The irony is the old man worked for the Department of Fair Trading for 4 decades 🤣

@@FixitFingers 😲 4 hours away... bloody hell... thats a long way to go for a drill driver. You do things on a big scale down there 🤣. Hope you get it sorted 😁👍

Hi Frank! I can't find any information about this anywhere, do you maybe know if the old 18v batteries work with new v20 tools and vice versa, the new batteries with old tools?
@frankslittleworkshop Жыл бұрын
😁 Hi Glupie, I think they only advertise this offer when it is on. I normally see it advertised on the Toolstation website or directly on the Stanley website. So you need to keep checking. Regarding the v20 batteries and the old version... they are not compatible (I demonstrate this in a few of my other videos), but you can buy a converter to use the old 2Ah batteries with V20 tools, but not the other way around. Just search for Stanley V20 battery adaptor. Normally available in Homebase if your in the UK. hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😁 👍
