In 1991, I saw Stanley perform this song to close out his set at BLUES ALLEY in D.C. - Dave Stryker was also with him on guitar - no one has ever played this "Soul Blues" type of ballad better than Stanley could - "KEEP ENJOYING THE SOUNDS OF JAZZ" (especially Stanley Turrentine)

i saw mr. T perform at Eileen's jazz room in Homewood, Pa. (Pittsburgh), in the mid-1980s; also saw him at Walt Harper's jazz room in downtown Pittsburgh, around the same era; Mr. T never forgot his jazz roots, nor did he ever forget his Pittsburgh home-grown upbringings.

I had the pleasure of seeing Stanley perform this song way back in 1991 at BLUES ALLEY in D.C. - he has always been my 2nd favorite Tenor player (next to my musical hero, John Coltrane) - NO ONE could play this type of song better than Stanley did - it makes you feel like you're at a Prayer Meeting - "KEEP ENJOYING THE SOUNDS OF JAZZ"

One of the best reasons to see jazz in such a venue. The sound is so clear and resonate you'd think you're in the studio recording the stuff yourself. Not to say anything's wrong with a large concert hall, but the quality of sound with fans screaming is kinda tough to match this.

Do you live in Rochester,NY? I do, I had numerous conversations with Stanley in Rochester and Buffalo up until his death. Last spoke with him in 1999 6 months before his death. A great personality and a very humble cat.
