I’m pretty sure you can open the illegal crates because that exact same thing happened to me one time when I was trying to open up a crate of money so I don’t really know how to troubleshoot it but it is probably possible to open the illegal crates

No you cannot open them at the moment. Similar to other crates such as the TNT crates. Some crates cannot be opened.
