MONSTER Mutton Snappers on the X3! Catch and Cook

In this episode I take my brother in law Daniel and "Cracker Vic" out fishing on the Shallow Sport X3. Mutton snapper are the target and we get into some really nice ones! Back at home we cook some up for dinner on the grill and in the air fryer! Enjoy!

A suggestion for the fish tank is to get something similar to a butterfly net and scoop it up under out to sea sargasso, there will be small fish seeking refuge close beneath it

Hey nick! Not sure if you’ve ever tried it but the sharp nose shear yall caught is one of my favorite things to eat. I’m in palm beach and keep them everytime I get them! Highly recommended bleeding and gutting the next one you catch, definitely an insanely underrated fish, would eat over mutton every day

why do you handle the fish hanging at the edge, any flapping it could easily fall overboard, the big snapper with the tongue out, it could have flipped, luckily you held that one, but you acted as jf you did not want the guy the caught it to handle it or take a picture, i saw when you swatted his hand away from touching the fish, makes me wonder of your character skipper.

1) because they float when they come from the deep water, so not worried if the fish flops in the water. The water is also a better back drop than center of the boat 2) Mutton snappers have sharp spines and gill plates. I didn’t want Vic to get spined or cut during the excitement. Add a couple cold drinks before the excitement of the fish and a bad decision could be made and wind up with an infection 3) I would always question someone’s character when they take a friend fishing on their boat and try their best so the guest don’t get a fish spine in the hand 🙂 (that’s a little facetious but I’m sure you get the point)

Why waste anything it'd a GIFT . Not Preaching, We are all Grown but I'm a Native Floridian and all the things we get out of that water are gifts... From Bass, Specks Crab Snook, Snapper. Marlin or Grouper. I like the fact that my man gives oo the local around the dock, the Jamaicans, Haitians and others make good food out of Carcasses

Stop showing hooks on your set ups rigged and stored on the ring part of the guide. Good way to break the ring insert. Place hook on a hook keeper or on the frame of the guide.

@@StanzFam Also noticed your hooks hanging without much tension on the line so I'm sure you're aware of possible breakage. Most anglers however wind those hooks up tight. I build custom rods as side hustle and have replaced countless guides with broken inserts cause by such practice. Enjoy your content and skills and have watched your channel grow. One day will make it out there to fish. Fished all over and can't believe haven't been to florida.
