"Between The Mountains And The Sea" And do you ever ask yourself If the person that you are Is the person you were meant to be Or were you too afraid to go that far? 'Cause courage is to walk Through the valley of our thoughts And in the desert that you fear Sit down with open ears 'Cause we were made to wander Between the mountain and the sea This body is a vessel To house eternity So what are you gonna do When everything you love is taken right away from you? And what are you gonna do If the person that you thought you were is not the person you knew? So what are you gonna do When everything you love is taken right away from you? And what are you gonna do When the person that you thought you were is not the person you knew? You got nothing to lose You got nothing Do not wait 'til angels sing Do not wait 'til angels sing And don't fear the unknown road What is diamond once was coal There is a devil in the cold dark streets He leaves us starving and suffering And there's a weakness that we cannot see For we all feel it, and it is deep And there is nothing that will set us free Except silence and inner peace There is a passion that we all must seek But we are silent, and we are weak There is a devil in the cold dark streets You got nothing to lose You got nothing Do not wait 'til angels sing Do not wait 'til angels sing And don't fear the unknown road What is diamond was once coal You got nothing to lose You got nothing Do not wait 'til angels sing Do not wait 'til angels sing And don't fear the unknown road What is diamond was once coal

Theese lyrics are epic, "There is a devil in the cold dark streets He leaves us silent and suffering And there's a weakness that we cannot see For we all feel it, and it is deep And there is nothing that will set us free Except silence and inner peace There is a passion that we all must seek But we lay silent, and we are weak There is a devil in the cold dark streets

I love reading senses fail fan comments. I relate so much. It's like we all see right through the bullshit of popular music in today's world and see the beauty, passion and soul SF sweats into every album (yes i know they've undergone many lineup changes, they are my fav band of all time).

I was listening to some music on my phone a few months ago and this song came on when I put the playlist on shuffle. I thought what about the life I had and the choices I had made that got me to where I was at that point in life. Was I truly happy with where I was? Did I find it satisfying to live life feeling the same everyday? I thought for a moment about the first song from the first Senses Fail album, "Steven", and I wondered why they wrote it. Sure enough, that song came on next.

Album meant so much to me when I was looking to find myself. To many times I tried to find myself through others, like my parents or friends. One day I reached that point where I no longer relied on anyone unhealthy for nourishment

This song applies to all walks of life. When i first heard it, it related so much with how i felt directionless. It helped me through addiction, it helped me with my first true heartbreak. and when i came to terms with being trans, it helps me get through dysphoria. this song is truly art.

After the first two albums, I'd say they were falling off a little bit. This complete change in sound has reinvented Senses Fail as a band. Front to back, this album was simply nostalgic. One of the best songs made by them to date.

Finally Buddy wrote a song that touched my heart. Well every song does, but this song.... It relate with my thoughts, I want to help, love, achieve, and believe. But hey it's life. Nobody knows the meaning. Yet something you shape with your decisions and thoughts, can always just stab you in the back ;). This song made me realize something. Just think.

As I lie happy behind my keyboard with inner peace and love, I have nobody I trust to tell my thoughts too. Nobody to trust with my eager thoughts just wanting to escape. Senses Fail is just that band with the affect. I use commas because I type with my thoughts and sentences never end. But the sentences hold meaning and trust, trust that I can let my thoughts roam free in the parallel universe called the internet, yet you have no safety and tons of exposure. You surely have on the wrong shoes.

1:09 is oddly similar to Defeater's "Dear Father". Still a rad song though.
@codyjames0111111 жыл бұрын
I think at 4:09, that is the most screaming they should do. They should scream like that, and not so much of the cookie monster screaming. Listen to the break-down @ the 1:53 mark of safe house, and where he kinda screams at the end of it @ the 2:41 mark, that is the perfect amount of screaming. I think when they mature more as a band, we will finally get that sound.
