It was pretty crazy how I came across this channel... I was born in Asheville, N.C. and that is what brought me to your channel actually, I saw a video you two did at an event in Asheville YEARS ago and the word "Asheville" caught my eye, so I clicked on it. I was born in Asheville, but raised in Fayetteville, N.C. but that's neither here nor there. What IS important is that I'm at the point in my life where I can do some of the things I've wanted to do, and "Overlanding" is something I've been wanting to do for a LONG time. I currently have a GMC Yukon, but it's only a 2 Wheel drive so I'm looking for a Toyota Land Cruiser to update to the specs I want it to have. Now THIS, is the point I'm getting to... the people that can do these types of activities have to be at a pretty comfortable financial point in their lives... so that wipes out a lot of my friends who may share this interest, some because they don't have the TIME to dedicate to travelling, and others don't have a 4X4 or "Extra Money" (whatever THAT is!, lol) to buy a 4X4 just to do this. The "Flag" issue hit home really hard for me... Growing up in N.C. in the 60's and 70's in the Fayetteville, Dunn areas I experienced a LOT of stuff that makes that "Heritage" BS, fly right out the window! So that being said I'm a little apprehensive about just going into some of those backwoods camping areas being the only Black couple.

Peace Peace King & Queen. New subscriber.... I really luv what y'all are doing. I've been very interested in buying a Black series overlaner also... Very expensive but I luv it.. I want to get off the grid for awhile . . I'm also purchasing land in Kenya 🇰🇪. Thinking about a container home on my land... I really enjoy watching y'all together, it's very warm felt ..
