In this video we take a closer look at Star Citizen's new variant of Sabre . The Sabre Firebird from Aegis Dynamics is a single seat missile slinger, armed with 24 missiles and 2 forward facing ballistic gatlings the Sabre Firebird is more than capable of dihing out some serious DPS. Although this ship is fairly unique i firmly believe that this ship will become a potent ship as Star Citizen ages.
Facilitating a devastating marriage of speed and ballistic firepower, the Firebird brings the heat to the infamous Sabre chassis. With a bespoke launcher capable of packing 24 Size 3 missiles complementing dual Gatling cannons, the Firebird packs a serious punch, while the relatively small Sabre frame and high-end propulsion allow it to get in and out with limited liability.
The Sabre’s slight frame, coupled with supercharged propulsion, gives the Firebird blazing straight-away speed, enabling it to make devastating hit-and-run strikes against much more daunting adversaries.The Firebird’s speed makes it hard to hit, but in the unlikely event of taking direct fire, it’s remarkably hard to kill thanks to sturdy armor and top-notch shields.

Star Citizen's Sabre Firebird a fantastic looking ship and fairly niche. This ship is fast really fast and it is of my opinion, that like a fine wine this ship will age really well as Star Citizen matures. BUT what do you guys think? As always let me know down below!!

I look at my Firebird like the Rogue class of MMORPG's. Stealthy and packs a crazy backstab.. but a can't fight face to face. Love blowing things up with 6 missiles before they even detected me.

Having a domestically designed competitor to the Tevarin Talon Shrike seems natural. A stealth strike fighter for hit & run missions where an Eclipse would be too much. So we have those missions in game yet - no, but they will be. Good video!

I was doing great in xenothreat with this ship. The stock guns didn't do so well, but the missles were great against the light to mid-size fighters. Zero regrets.

Used it in Xenothreat. Even did some dogfights with the NPC ships there. But changed it with Laserguns, so you don't run out of ammo. Really nice ship.

I feel it is a small ship bomber like how the eclipse is the big ship bomber. Both great ships in my opinion. Both specific uses. Thank you for the video.

I use the Firebird daily and can say it is an extremely powerful PvP fighter. It is possible to kill 3-4 light to medium targets and it is a decent scout ship too, because its very difficult to detect. Usually i deactivate my Shields/Weapons and are nearly invisible.

as snub for polaris, then first this ship fires at target and then polaris its torps, if the missiles are shot down first hopefully no time to shoot polaris torps.

I removed a shield a power plant and a cooler to get the detection range by other aircraft to below 3kms. With 2 xS3 cannons on this thing and high power and manoeuvrability this absolutely makes a great combat ship. Any issues and you drop noise, boost and break contact and enemy loses lock on you.

I love the idea of this as a ground attacker. Component placement at the top is smart for making ground strikes to add a little more protection. Hide your ground based air defenses or kiss them goodbye because this is Star Citizens ultimate "wild weasel" attack ship. 🚀

I do love this ship. It does encapsulate the spirit of the Raven (quite literally). You can even see it in its shadow and MFD.

I love mine. I have no issues dog fighting with it boost in combat gets you round your enemy’s easily. Try the San tok guns on it .. brilliant

Suprisingly enough the Raven and Firebirb got the interceptor tuning, so at least for now they stomp on the fighters.

If you put some nice size three cannons on this thing it's actually fairly decent against the light fighter because it's so maneuverable. I have yet to have a fighter be able to get nose on me in this thing if I'm pushing it.
