Nice video. The true potential for ships like the Jav, will not be truly realized until we get crew bed logouts. Just takes too much time to get an ORG prepped and ready for larger capital ships. CiG need to get this functionality in game.

Just simply filling the turret pods isn't fully manned, not being a dick just being realistic lol. With engineering we will need to keep up with internal ship damage, that will completely change combat. Just like your team of turret gunners, you will need another team to maintain internal components/ put out fires/ make general repairs. There is no set in stone crew requirement to fly it, but the effectiveness of it depends on its crew. People underestimated how dependent these capital ships are on crew numbers to actually be lethal, they aren't hammerheads haha. I know engineering is far off atm, but we will see features like that implemented long before we see a fully finished Jav in the PU.

fully crewed says 80 people which is nuts. also there are 13 turrets. so you need 14 people to min crew it. every turret filled plus captain.

We will see features like engineering fully implemented, bed logs redone etc. before any of the capital ships end up in the PU, plus someone from CIG said that most are finished but they aren't going to release them until S42 release because they include details/spoilers for S42. Bed logs are the main issue for capital ships that don't have huge roles in S42, with these ships having such massive crew requirements it's just impossible to organize a crew and keep it together when everyone is flying in from multiple planets and potentially systems every time the game crashes or bugs out. We need the ability to logout on friends ships for capital anything to really work and for the record I'm referring to anything with a crew "requirement" of over 10, the smaller capital ships aren`t included lol. Organizing 10 people is fairly do-able on the current servers XD

@@BenJaminLongTime Minimum of 12 just for flight and very minimal combat effectiveness. Fully manned is 80. If you just want to fly it around and not do anything else, maybe less than 12.

agreed. something thats 3x the size of a hammerhead should be slow to turn and accelerate/stop. instead depending on crewed turrets for target acquisitions rather than its own ability to dodge.

Where are the broadside turrets? Javelin had on each side 3 heavy turrets with lasers and on top of these turrets were smaller gatlings... removed because of balance? But awesome video.
