They do really requently yes. To ditch the Date back and delay it over and over again until they 1)dont speak of it anymore 2) Delay even more 3) announce a new date (spoiler: to delay it again) or 4) do a "Burndown" which trys to calm people cause of delay

Please adjust audio (raise an brighten host's levels). Guild - I don't think that word means what you think it means. Check synonyms for a better idea. Frequent formation and dissolution of guilds runs counter to the concept. You might be thinking of corporation, partnership, company.

Guys, help me out. I don't get how the Space Ship aquireing works. So, do I have to buy - with real money - every ship? If so, do I lost it if I die with it? Is there an ingame currency with which you can buy a ship? I think the game is not working yet, so I'm unsure. Also, what happened that there is a 1/10 of dislike under every video?

To play the game in it's current state, alpha 2.6, requires only the base package. Keep in mind "game" is in the loosest sense. The word Alpha has lost a lot of meaning due to early access games but that's niether here nor there. As of now there are no ship dealers implemented so you can only fly what ships you buy with real cash as those ships are released, but this is not the design. As more game mechanics are brought online ships, items, weapons and pretty much everything will be available to purchase in game. In the final release every ship, item, shirt and sandwich can be earned in game. Some ships may even be unobtainable by any means other than finding a derelict and restoring it, possibly... As for losing ships there is an insurance system for replacing and fixing ships. There has been plenty of new information covering the insurance mechanic in the last few months and it is continuing to evolve. From what I understand there is no way to permanently lose your property unless you've been scamming insurace or something.

To add to TheMommylupul's response. The final game will likely be in-game currency purchase only. 'pledging' ships right now is just to support development. You just need a basic game package to play now and on release. Then earn your way in-game to bigger better ships. As for dislikes, there are a lot of people getting impatient with waiting for the game. And then there is a certain crowd that for whatever reason is against the development of the game and claim it is a scam. I personally do not fall into either of these categories and am waiting patiently.

They reiterated that the original plan of 40-60 will be done by release, and the remaining 70-50 will be added as content updates post release, bringing the total to the proper 110. The 5-10 was a translation error to do with when they think the game will be in a state comparable to launch, i.e beta.

i have a supercomputer with 1080 GT and star citizen runs with 30fps, but i hope they dont release 3.0 bevor its good playable because i haveing a lot of fun with 2.6 at the mom and if they replace that with an unplayable version of 3.0 then nobody will be happy. iam happy that chris roberts knows that. And that they bring it to a playable level bevor release. better a good 3.0 in 2018 then a non playable version of star citizen now.

That's odd because my GTX 780 runs the game just fine on an i7-3770s cpu and 16 gig... The game easily gets upward of 50-60 FPS on my setup when the network issues are not there. So where you get the idea the game is slow is beyond me. The network code and servers are the current problem with FPS, NOT the graphics or quality of the game and graphics.

Well that's just ignorant. With procedural rendering, LODs and a long long list of existing technologies, massive simulated universes can be rendered client side.You don't need a supercomputer to render basic graphics. The only problem we've encountered in MMOs is networking. If they fix the network part, we can enjoy smooth gameplay even on low end PCs.
