Thanks dude! Will do! Been struggling with time this month but getting back at it! 🔥

Excellent tutorial!!!! Is there any way to make that TVI bigger or red. Also, I speculate, and I'm probably wrong, that the Muri Fury might have the same pretty much drag in any orientation since its pretty much a ball, therefore for that ship coupled mode might be ok if the wings are retracted, except for the extra fuel burning. But that's just a guess, and not confident.

I dont understand. When I roll my Razor it makes a huge arc and the crosshairs refuse to stay centered. The Polaris rolls with more precision. Am I doing something wrong?
@Jakodin13 күн бұрын
Yeah one of the interesting things about the racing ships is that, much like F1 cars, they need speed to really bring out their true aerodynamic capabilities. When you're not at the optimal speed, they can wobble during rolling as seen at 4:52 (the M50 is notorious at doing this) so you might need to adjust with a tiny bit of yaw input. This is why we always recommend aligning yourself perpendicular to the coming turn so you roll in a straight line not during a turn. Sorry for the wall of text hehe

@@Jakodin No, I appreciate the wall! The same thing doesn't happen in the Peregrine and it never used to be this bad when I flew the Razor before MM. Should I be going faster than max SCM speed then? I don't really race so much as low fly through buildings and gantries in NB. Going to check out more of your videos now, thanks for the reply!
@Jakodin13 күн бұрын
@lastsplash6 if you're flying in SCM i would recommend switching to NAV mode to unlock the full speed available

I was wondering if you can talk more about the rolling into corners ...

Yes for sure! Thanks for the feedback! I'm working on a video which will include flying the racing line. Figured it's a good segment to talking about how to approach and take turns

What do you think of the Sabre Peregrine? I have 1 if you want to test it out. My best time on Loreville outskirts is 1min 10 in my Razor LX but get 1min 28 with it.
@Jakodin3 ай бұрын
I got one too! Testing it today. First impressions feel like it's not yet tuned properly.. It likes to drift more than it likes to pitch which is unusual for a ship with that profile.
@breezie3363 ай бұрын
@@Jakodin With that streamline body shape, I feel it should have slightly more acceleration and wind assistance on the turn. Especially in decoupled mode.
@Jakodin3 ай бұрын
@@breezie336 100% agree. I think it needs a pass on it's aero profile and also have a slightly larger boost tank to make it really stand out

I really want to like racing, but it takes too long to get back on the track after crash. In all racing games you are able to be back on track in seconds after crash, but in SC it takes tens of minutes before you make another try, that's frustrating and ultimately repells me from racing, sadly. Is there any ways to overcome this, or is this just the reality of racing rn?
@Jakodin3 ай бұрын
@@galdar9618 yeah in the beginning it is very tedious to go back and forth from the track until you get used to flying it. It is the reality of racing in the PU however if you wanna grind out the tracks without repercussions, there's the Classic Race option in arena commander. You can do offline mode and just throw yourself at a track with instant respawns. Then hit the PU when you're comfortable

What racer thinks about Peregrine? would u enjoy it?
@Jakodin3 ай бұрын
@@Skar38rus yes I think the Peregrine is a fun ship to fly however in thick atmosphere it doesn't have enough top speed to compete with other racing ships.. it has great acceleration but caps out too low. Very fun to race other peregrines tho

@@Jakodin and what u think about archremedus? In compare with razor
@Jakodin3 ай бұрын
@@Skar38rus depends on the setting. Over 1 lap, the Archimedes is faster than the Razor cos the boost tank is big enough to go a lap above the SCM limit... But over a longer race, the fact that the Archimedes is stuck in its SCM speed while it recharges gives the Razor a chance against it cos it can go in NAV
@Skar38rus3 ай бұрын
@@Jakodin sorry, i'm not racer at all, seems like i don't get why archemed can't go in nav?
@Jakodin3 ай бұрын
@@Skar38rus no problem! Hope this channel helps you learn how to be one if you're interested ;) The Archimedes is a snub so it does not have a quantum drive. NAV mode requires a quantum drive to access the increased speeds. As racers we always fly in NAV FLT mode cos it opens the full speed of the ship to us; can't do that in a snub.. but they are very fast still

Do you think the Razor LX is worth it?
@Jakodin3 ай бұрын
In this patch the Razor is in a very good place.. Probabbly one of the most fun ships to race. I would personally chose the base Razor over the LX simply because it's more maneuverable. The LX is mostly built for circuits where you stay in a straight line for longer although this patch it's G's are slightly below where they should be so the base Razor beats it in everything.
