One thing I've always talked about with SC is look at the jump in FPS from 1st to 3rd person in a ship during your 1440p UW. You go from 150fps with the MFDS off, down to 130fps in 1st person with MFDs on, and then to 200+fps in 3rd person.

Yeah the new MFDs are an absolute disgrace, with no word whatsoever from CIG in regards to their drain on performance. I draw 110 extra watts in first person during QT in first person vs 3rd. 110W of power!!

Vulkan isn't multi-threaded yet as you can see straight off the bat with the gpu being heavily bottlenecked by the cpu.

It's been what, 2 years since Gen 12 was put in, and something like a year since Vulkan and not only does SC still run like ass in many places, regardless of server tick, but Vulkan still runs considerably worse.

Interesting.. What do you think was the best performance? Vulcan or Dx11.. 🤔 Assuming these could on different patch numbers now though..

Vulkan ran fine for me...until the patch update. Now my game crashes using it. Had to switch to dx11, which sucks because i get a little bit of stuttering here and there. Vulkan ran like butter for me.

Sure but with pêople on server... well we all know what happens 😂 SC performance is crap. SC is years away from a reliable release (if ever honestly). And by the time it does, games made by AI will be equal if not vastly superior.

I don´t mean like totally autonomous, more like in the use of all these aiding agents. From setting up structured project frameworks to oversight of code, cleaning up mesh and polys, generating seamless lod´s, bugfixing and balancing. Artstyle even with generative help should always remain to our talented artists.
