STAR CITIZEN: Your Gateway to the Cosmos

I recently got into Star Citizen and I was very skeptical about it. I also spent quite a long time "stuck" at my home planet trying to learn how things work and it is quite painful in the beginning. However, once you understand where to buy your first gun, your first space suit and finally when you FIRST take off and understand how to navigate the universe, Star Citizen is so IMMERSIVE! Sure, there are many bugs and some game breaking ones at that. However, when the game works, it is AMAZING! Here is an adventure I went through...I was doing this Mercenary mission. Basically I went to an outpost on a planet and had to kill 30 outlaws(npcs). I started killing them, but eventually I fell. In SC when you fall(if it is not a fatal blow), your character is there lying on the floor and you have 1h30min to have someone heal you. I sent out a beacon asking for help for all the money I had(5k). A dude accepted and came to my rescue...mind you he was on the other side of the system and flew all the way to rescue me for 5k, which is nothing. Then I continued killing them and suddenly I could not raise my arm to shoot anymore because I was shot in the arm and obviously, I could not shoot...so I ran for my life, but ended up falling again. I sent another beacon, but now for free cuz I had no money...the same dude came to recue me. However, after I told him I could not shoot anymore, he took off and came back with a much BIGGER ship that had a medical bed in it, so I could go inside and heal myself in his med bay! After that, he added me and we became friends! That was an amazing experience and it really stuck with me!

Absolutely love the concept of the game. But for the life of me no matter how much i try i can’t get past the spaceport without it shitting itself and crashing, ashame my pc isn’t as super good but i use to be able to play it on 30fps

The usual culprit is people downloading it on a harddrive rather than an ssd

And/or try using a pagefile or make it larger. I used a 16GB Pagefile together with 32GB of RAM.

Well, it is understandable that as they add more stuff and features, the game will become heavier and that is probably why your system is struggling. I will tell you what though. I have never seen Star Citizen with a better performance and fps. I do have a 4090 though.

Imho if they can make the game stable and pull it off what they want, Star Citizen will become one of the biggest games ever.

2025-26 are gonna be a make or break for them of Sq 42 flops and it's obvious they are starting to lose the faith of the whales that prop up their funding ...we could see alot of layoffs and a push to ship star citizen and a minimal viable product. I really don't encourage anyone to spend beyond a basic starter package on this "game"

Why scam? RAW,Paradise or Day before was scam, not this, this is just endless alpha
