this was by FAR my fave song back in the N64 days (when I was young I used to put a tape recorder up to the TV just so I could have this song on tape ^^; )I got chills just listening to this song and REALLY brings back memories for me...I think I may just get the DS remake.

This is, perhapes, my favorite song in the game. It just seemed to bring me back to the days when Rareware was still making great games for Nintendo systems. :) I miss those days. ;)

Just a fun tidbit for you guys complaining about the music. I just overlayed the original onto this, and the soundtracks literally match up to the millisecond; the only thing changed was the soundfont.

The xylophone's louder in this version, and there's cool synthasizer effects in this one. It's a tie between this and the N64.

Actually lukerbom12 it like this: Star City keeps its theme. so does Darkmoon Caverns. Spacedust Alley gets Spaceport Alpha's N64 theme. Spaceport Alpha gets a new theme

Wow...as much of a fanatic I am with the original (as I didn't play enough of the DS version to even get to Star City, as I liked the N64 version way more gameplay wise), this version is just as good as the N64 version. I really like it. I like both versions of this board's song, just for diff reasons.

The melody is the same, but to my ears, they've upped the quality since the N64 version. Some songs have been more dramatically modified than this one, but they still sound fantastic.
