Those live views actually look exactly like what I see through my 8" dobsonian with my eyes. I havent seen the summer objects, but thats theoretically what they should look like visually

Great video as always! I feel like a lot of people get bummed out on visual astronomy because they don't realize that all the pictures they've seen of galaxies and nebulae are long exposure images, usually processed and stacked. Nice to show the comparison between what a 10" Newtonian will show you through the lens vs. a long exposure image.

@@vikramm5908 no not really, they are just image that were stacked on top of each other to have more light data

Our universe is incredible. There is nothing is our life. Every one will die one day and life is too short but in there people are so selfish & they not help the poor people . So one thing i will tell anyone just enjoy your life in every single minute and smiles.

ive seen the messier before. its like the only thing ive ever seen through a telescope, and the dude who had the scope was having a super hard time getting it locked on so it didnt look anything as crisp as yours. but i recognized it.

Are the 20 and 30 second exposure tracked exposure? I have a 10'' FlexTube dobsonian. I guess I would get long Star trails without tracking I guess? Is there a way to get up to 20-30 seconds without a goto mount? For example by stacking 1 second exposure? Cheers, Michael

I’ve pretty much given up using my eyepieces and just use a colour CMOS for real time viewing or image capture. The views even with a small scope and mount blow away the views through bigger scopes with eyepieces, in my opinion, for a lower cost

How come you use a high ISO with shorter exposures? A lower ISO with longer exposures might give more detail, especially for RAW format stacking. EDIT: I think I may have an idea why. Is it that your tracking motor isn't smooth or accurate enough for long exposures? I see star trails.

with the help of a 8+ inch reflector telescope and deep sky filters under bortle 4 or 3 dark sky with average transparency, you should get much better view than what you saw on the video, i suspect that this video was filmed under light polluted area because of the lacking of details in many objects shown in the clip

Although astrophotography is awesome, this is unfair to what you can see in visual astronomy. With Good Seeing conditions and averted vision it is possible to see much more than shown in this video. I have observed much more with my 10" Newtonian on a German equatorial mount and with higher quality oculars. Keep looking up !!!
