What if the Ilwrath got a Precursor Bomb?
I figured the War in Draconis would be continuing with the Thraddash and the Ilwrath grinding away at each other.
The Ilwrath develop a Mass Cloak of Kazon field that will allow them to mask their intrusion into the heart of Thraddash space.
The NAFS is happy to let them war it out, but the Syreen who've been colonizing the periphery of Thraddash space and who've remained independent involve themselves, hoping to disable the destructive device before the Ilwrath can detonate it.
The Syreen psychically sabotage the Ilwrath strategy with a broad hypnotic hyperwave transmission and the Avenger-fleet is revealed. The Thraddash seize the opportunity to capture the bomb for themselves and begin a siege of the Avenger transporting the device. Several penetrators are destroyed in the traitorous action and Talana swears to behead the Thraddash general.
In a rare act of mercy and valor for an Ilwrath, Kyllor fights off the Thraddash marines and rescues his brood-brother Murdo by knocking him out and jettisoning him in an escape pod. He then detonates the bomb to prevent the Thraddash from obtaining it.
Murdo has a vision of Dogar and Kazon. Apparently, they ARE real...
