@@Chmmr34 that lander bug was awesome! I discovered it on my own by accident. I actually wanted to put it back in as an option when I was making Ur-Quan Masters HD.

Because many games were inspired by Star Control, including Star Sonata 2 and Space Rangers. Star Control 2 is definitely a blast.

You did 5 rainbow planets on your first tour? I totally was not expecting that. Good job. But I guess, same goes for me completing the game without ever taking a planet lander outside Sol or clearing Sa'Matra with a single Chmmr. 1610 fuel :P Super-powered Sis = cool. Nice to see different sides of this game. Thank you for uploading this! Is it single segment?

Actually there's a shortcut that could be used: Switching on Cyborg skips the Sa'Matra fight altogether.

Oh yeah, I miss those days.. super fond memories of mapping out games like the first Might and Magic games, Ultima 6, and stuff like the deserts in the Kings Quest games.. you got your money's worth in those days!

@@stacythomas9916 haha. Yeah. I remember I wrote the name down wrong for one of the systems and it took me a whole week to figure out where I went wrong. And then my brothers took all my notes and then beat the game with them, before I could beat it. Lol. My fondest memory was I remember my brothers friend came over for a weekend and we played it from Friday to Sunday nonstop. We had it on the 3DO, such great times.

@dosperios1 Thanks. Yeah, these are not comparable. Though you weren't aiming for entertainment in favor of speed (with possible exception of the black screen scene with Talana), you ended up doing very well in that regard. For example, it was enjoyable seeing resource-efficient planet harvesting (with exception in the beginning; you should have concentrated on radioactives like I did). It carries the meaning without becoming tedious. I only was disappointed to not even get to read some dialog.

I've tried this like 9 times now, starting at the beginning, matching the time stamp for every stop as you work through the first time in Sol... but when I'm finished and ready to head out to Alpha Pavonis, my clock says it's March 7th, not March 2nd. And every time, when I go for the quasi-space portal, it closes just as I'm about to enter..... and within seconds, I'm getting jacked by a slylandro probe. Grr... How the hell do you get out of the starbase on March 2nd?!?

Great playthrough but you're NUTS! For 7 reasons or rather 6 maybe or 5 lol 1.) Too risky with Mercury gathering minerals. You don't have that many people and you spend way too long when you just need a few to get the starbase up and running 2.) Don't fill with crew to go out. I worry about the Sylladro probes a LOT as I've already been ambushed right away after leaving Sol. 3.) Don't visit Pluto??? There are rare minerals there other than also a Spathi ship.- Fwiffo I believe his name is. 4.) How far you go the first trip out of the solar system!? I didn't catch the name of the system but it was practiclaly up near the Syllandro probe planet/area and where the gateway is to enter Quasi Space - What if a probe caught you along the way? I've already left Sol before and ran RIGHT into one before so I am always careful with crew now. 5.) It looks like it was Alpha Pavonis - Isn't that the planet you get the Ur Quan Warp thingy to open a gate to the Arilou or where the Syllandro are to negotiate the probe self destruct code? Why not handle that while you were there??? 6.) I like how you went for a lot of the rainbow worlds early though. 7.) I didn't see you do it but you should have gone to the one Il Wrath planet with the transmitter and act like their gods and screw w/ them LOL - I do that every playthrough hee hee :-D

I watched the video in its entirety now. Impressive 😀 1) Maybe, but risky means fast. I do it too actually when playing haha 2) Well done additional crew perhaps right 3) He went to Pluto right away to get fwiffo and the tzo 4) It was to get stuff. He got all full speed too 5) More exciting to dodge the probes! Also it would have taken time to go there then go through all the long dialog 6) Ya I agree 😅 7) It was done! Haha
