Star Delta Starter Control Circuit Wiring Explained.
Star delta starter is probably the most common reduced voltage starter for a 3 phase induction motor in present day use.
These starters are used in an attempt to reduce the start current applied to the motor during starting, to reduce the disturbances and interference transferred on to the electrical supply.
The Star Delta starter is manufactured using three contactors, a timer and a thermal overload.

How to hold timer coil, because when we press start push button the timer coil gets energised A1,A2. After we released start push button how it maintain on hold condition. If the timer coil maintain hold condition then only the star and delta contactor gets input supply. please solve my doubt.

Although the start switch is open, main contactor A1 point is powered through the self holding circuit. That is through the normally open contact points, which are closed now. As long as A1 is powered, starting push button switch right side point gets power, and thereby the timer also gets power. A1 of main contactor and the timer are with power, till you break the self holding circuit by pressing the stop push button to stop the motor.
