Five years later, General Pauling noticed strange activity coming from Hydro. Radigan Conagher, Redmond Mann and Spy of the Star Fortress team were sent to investigate. Upon their arrival, Reddmond betrayed the team, and Radigan and Spy were captured by Grey. Spy barely escaped Hydro and returned home to tell Radigan's son Engineer about his father's fate.

I'm gonna take a shot: The story of Star Fortress 2 is that the Administrator, who once ruled over Planet Teufort with General Saxton Hale was banished, and because of that the Administrator, who was exiled to Planet Hydro, started a war by creating a counter mercenary team, Red. Knowing that he couldn't tackle the war alone, Hale, called for Star Blu, the greatest mercenary team in the entire Team Fortress System.
