one of my most favorite kills on venom II was when i was being chased by wolf, peppy was in trouble so as I'm heading to help, he's also flying towards me and i managed to shoot pigma behind him which finished him off but his ship tumbles towards me so i do a loop, and pigma's ship crashed into wolfs which also kills him as well. I'll most likely never be able to do that again if i tried.

You can skip the cutscene by hitting start. Now Star Wolf is still going through the cutscene animation and flying together slowly, so you can easily pick them all off before the cutscene ends.

I did something similar to this. Not as fast, though. I managed to kill Wolf first, when they entered. Then I took down Andrew, then Leon and saved Pigma for last.

That's probably the 2nd best order to do it in, honestly. Leon has the least aggressive AI, to make Falco seem like a better pilot than Slippy and Peppy. If you did Pigma 3rd and Leon last, that'd be the easiest way to get through without killing your wingmates.

So from what I heard, the key to beating star wolf here is just to rapid fire them nonstop, don’t try to charge shot them or bomb them.

Correct, they're totally invulnerable to charge shots and bombs. You can bank charge shots off objects and hit them with the splash damage to get Hit+1's though, it doesn't hurt them but you can use it to grind to 999 points. I'd highly recommend checking out the recent score TAS by Westin Brail to see how it's done.
