I come back to this song every once in a while. I've heard a lot of covers, including your two other ones, and this just hits perfectly. It's not just nostalgia, it puts me right back in that Arwing. It's perfect, really, I always put it on before I get on the freeway.

It's about FLIPPIN' TIME that a Progressive Metal or Industrial Metal (or whatever general term applies for metal music hybridized with synthesizers/electronic music) was posted; since all I've seen prior to today were nothing but covers/remixes that were either purely metal or purely techno/trance...but never a hybrid of the 2. Well done.

This is when games didn't just rely on their graphics to sell. Everything had to come together in order to make a great game. The music, the story, the game play- everything. Unfortunately now a days- not so much.

To be honest, I completely disagree. There are plenty of modern games that don't rely completely on graphics. And people cared about graphics back when this game came out just as much as they do now.

+holamoco17 The thing is, even though graphics were the main selling point, Starfox on the SNES had everything else, too. It had solid level design, innovative music in several styles, a great cinematic atmosphere that _didn't_ distract from the gameplay, a surprisingly deep story (sold separately as a Nintendo Power magazine comic), and replay value, all in one package. Most games today are hit or miss in most of those areas, or just focus on having the newest graphics and almost nothing else. Or microtransactions.

Oh, take your nostalgia goggles off and grow up. There’s plenty of shite games from this period and plenty of good ones from the modern day, just like there’s plenty of great games like this one from back then and plenty of crap ones that are recent. It’s not as clear cut as “everything made after 199whenever sucks, no exceptions”. The reason this game was so groundbreaking for its time was because of the graphics and gameplay, and in that respect it’s no different to something like The Last of Us or Shadow of the Colossus.

Its so sad what Miyamoto did to this ip with Zero...its utter failure probably means the IP is totally dead now to Nintendo.
