Haha just made a run yesterday, got max points, upload and find out it is already outdated :D Nice run, the Star Wolf team sure is the big run killer in this stage. Andross is easy compared to losing the laser upgrade and farming everything again. :P

+Mauze Aw shoot, well, it's mostly the same thing anyways. You just have to get there from Corneria 2 and do the same thing twice with the turrets. That Star Wolf fight is pretty much the only big threat of the stage, other than misfiring a charge at a turret. Andorss isn't nearly as bad thankfully.

If you transform into a Walker, the entire Star Wolf team consistently lands by you. You can just keep barrel rolling in a circle on the ground and firing and they all die super fast. But you probably already know that haha.

Yes 274 should be the max, I got 271 becouse I always miss a +3 from a lasser upgrade. Nice score man! Btw what do you think about zoness? I think that stage may also has a maxout of points.

+TheBizarro That laser upgrade is probably the hardest part of this entire score. Also thanks! Zoness might have a maxout of sorts, you would have to forgo some parts maybe. I dunno, I have only played the stage a tiny bit, but I dislike it alot just because it's super slow paced & sensitive to certain mistakes since you have limited "ammo" with the bombs. Same goes for the cranes carrying the I-beams.

Great job! Question: why did you use the standard Arwing? The black Arwing would be better, no? Even the retro Arwing would have the advantage of not having to hold down L to stop you from locking.

I used the standard Arwing because it's pretty much useless in every other stage for score, so I figured I might as well use it here for variety's sake. I could have used the black Arwing, but meh, I use it everywhere else for score. Also, I wanted to do the charge shot ending on Andross, which would be impossible with retro Arwing. Completely arbitrary choices, I know, but it's just how I felt like doing this stage.

I have a question did andross make a robotic replacement after he died in 64? As like a backup plan in case he failed to kill fox?

Locking on to Andross makes it easier to dodge his attacks (mainly his punch, ground slam, and bite) while still shooting him. I'm pretty sure you know that, so why didn't you do it?

+Evan Peskoff Yeah, I was mostly playing it super duper safe so I don't lose the hyper laser upgrades. Pretty much wanted to ensure that I didn't lose them to anything at all because of how tedious the turret farming is and how tough it is to keep the upgrades from Star Wolf. I'll probably get into those habits when/if I try speedruns of the game.

Does he really need it? The only enemies are Star Wolf, and you can have hyper lasers by that point. Plus, he'd lose out on a bunch of hits from the turrets because he'd kill them faster.

+BBspike100 I didn't really see any advantage to the Black Arwing in this stage, so I didn't use it. Might as well give the regular Arwing its time to shine briefly in score attack :P

I honestly think the Star Wolf part is the easiest. My highest score on phase 2 is 15

+SuperPilgrim45 There's really nothing else the stage offers that seriously threatens your score other than losing hypers on Star Wolf imo. For getting a 15, it sounds like you collected a Laser or Bomb after killing the final member of Star Wolf & ending the first phase. By that, you could get 18 for phase 2 if you killed Leon/Pigma right next to each other & collected both after finishing off Star Wolf, but then your phase 1 in that run will be lacking those 6 points, so it'll even out to the same score no matter what.

um your suppose to aim at the turrets not shoot the ground

Shooting the turrets directly will gives you only one hit as a result of single shot (whether shooting normally or charge shot it), while shooting on the ground creates a splash that hits the turrets (which gives you +1 hit). It can takes up to the splashes that will give you 4 hits (1 destroyed turrets and 3 +1 hit result in a splash.)

Not overlooked: it may have been a bug in 64, but Platinum put it back in after Assault took it out.

+Dimitrij Jaro Hehe, heya Dimi! This game has some good stages & has the same high score system as SF64 with some twists, but definitely has worse moments than SF64 had. Stages like this where you farm a lot of points & Gyrowing stages are probably the worst of them. Corneria 2 might be one of my favorites from this game though, if anything is worth watching out of this game for high score, it's probably that stage.
