For anyone confused by happy Kai'sa: that's the point. This Kai'sa was not thrown into the void, this Kai'sa is surrounded by friends and support. It's a complete re-imagining of her character in entirely different circumstances. Which is what good skins are meant to do, re-imagine, not just do the same character but sparkly.

Wow on one hand I was completely set in to the idea by the first few comments claiming that riot is ignoring characters key lore and design to sell pretty face. But reading this comment gave me a completely new outlook on skins that change how champions are perceived. I got to be honest your comment was really cool.

I will say for me the good skins are the ones who are consistent with the created motive and design of a certain champion. I don't mind of Kai'sa being happy, but getting rid of her iconic living suit in every her skin in my opinion is bad direction from Riot. It's kinda the same problem with Kindred being humanized because monster champions doesn't sale...

Updates since pre-release video! After evaluating the feedback, we've made the following updates to Star Guardian Kai'Sa per your feedback: Rigging/Animation Adjusted her hair to reduce the stiffness. Adjusted her run to be more bouncy, rotation in the hips, and more left and right movement. Added a spin animation to her homeguard to really give that Star Guardian feel! Improvements on her animation transitions. Updated her dance to improve her gestures a bit. Joke/Recall animations are more polished. Visual Effects SG Kai'Sa now has a small transformation sequence in her Recall. She now also changes into her slightly brighter form and stays in that form for a few seconds after; successfully recalling to base, casting her (R), and respawning We adjusted her ribbons to make them more unique. Added additional VFX to her evolves to make them feel more empowering. Her ankle asset will now show during her (E) evolve. Sound Effects Adjusted the On Hits for her basic attack with a bit more high end sparkles. Similarly to previous Star Guardian skins this year's Star Guardian theme will also play upon loading into the game. Splash Her Splash Art has received some adjustments to align facial likeness to other depictions. Icon Her icon has been updated to reflect a closer face shape.

She was popular when she could be viable as a sniper, but now that's been gutted, she struggles with ranges. Same reason why the lowest play rate adcs are the ones with the least aa range. As for skin sell rate. There's no way you can measure that and Riot absolutely have not confirmed that. Ironically, Kai'sa out of all champions in the game, has the least amount of skins following her base concept of being in a parasitic suit. Majority of her skins completely ignore it.

And range doesn t have really an impact,kog and cait rarely see play, and vayne kalista and sivir are played more in higher elo. Tho what I really mean is that kai sa is just the face of a pretty girl in the lore and doesn t deliver on the idea of her adapting to survive,her skins are all just there to sell her face. And she does have a lot of skins, and receives a lot of attention from riot,being included in many stories,cinematics and now on LoR during the event. This skin could have been cool if the story was about her being imprisonned by morg or fiddle and then coming back using a half corrupted star guardian but rightnow it s just ahri leader 2.0 where she has lesbian romance with another popular caracter.

Like, sure, it ain't the most polished skin out there, but behaving as if it were the worst thing out there is kinda silly. Other than that, I gotta commend Riot for creating a truly gorgeous skin (splash art is 11/10) for an otherwise incredibly bland champion that is Kai'Sa.

'STARLIGHT, ON ME!' now i know what the other players feel when they said 'bring sera and senna SG on PC' because Kaisa SG is not on WR and it suckkkssss. Im a kaisa main but im happy playing her with KDA skin. I just wish her upgraded third skill invisibility skill looks more defining over her normal third ability skill but other than that, i love everything! Its just pink all over the place skskk thats why i love the upgraded skills. It has a touch of violet and blue green on it. Anw 10/10 my main!

In my opinion. You don't need kaisa's chroma. Her normal SG skin is pretty great overall. Her chromas collor aren't just fitted for her SG in my opinion. Except the black one. That one looks like kaisa's SG nemesis form.

(One metal leg built different, likely unfinished) His soul furnace (the thing in his belly) is turned into a turbine with which he also casts his E, concept taken, altered, expanded. Dark Cosmic Jhin still has his shoulder hump, still is masked and still has two arms which look different. If that's just "irrelevant" detail, why did riot go all the way to give him those reimagined aspects of the original Jhin? It's because they are still very much part of the character. Ditching the idea of "the suit lives" in favor of making it clothing, in addition to ditching her helmet, which is a big fucking part of her design, instead of redesigning it into something else is just laziness on riot's part.

As someone who was more sold on the idea of Kai'sa being a Void Survivor, traumatized but still willing to fight for a humanity that will likely not accept her, I'm annoyed that no other single skin outside of her launch one even tries to fullfil that fantasy other than "here is cool girl. Ain't she cool." And now we have chipper and cheerful Kai'sa which...outside of the joke animation, which is just cute, just...isn't what I was hoping for. I like this skin, but I really want a darker, grungier or 'cool' thematic for her future skins. She's had too many soft and fluffy popstar skins in my opinion. Her bullet angel skin she was released with was awesome, would be great to have some more 'serious' skins such as this one.
