Although Sonic 3/&K is generally considered to be the best Sonic game, I myself don't think it's a choice Sega would ever make, especially considering the game didn't even receive the enhance treatment its predecessors did... But anyway, I believe Sonic the Hedgehog would be the optimal choice to end the franchise given that it's where it all *started* and is probably the most recognized Sonic game around the world. Additionally, I don't think the game being ported to other systems is a valid excuse to disgrace on it; I think the actual reason behind such action is because that provides to a great deal of people the chance of playing it on their favorite systems.

They also had a lot of boring, monotonous stages that you probably had to think about to remember they were even a stage in a game to begin with. I don't hate the game by any means, but it was another sub-par release once again.

This would probably be shit tons of more work, but I think it would've made the game ten times better.

You know, recently I just had an idea for a brand new Sonic "collection" game (since it has been 25 years) - Sonic Classic Collection HD Picture this - All 4 of the original Genesis Games released as HD remasters (e.g. Classic Sonic from Sonic Generations and same graphics along with Classic style songs, except without the physics from SG, l retaining the physics from classic games. The game list would be Sonic the Hedgehog HD Sonic CD HD (or Sonic CHD) Sonic the Hedgehog 2 HD Sonic the Hedgehog 3 HD (& Knuckles) What do you think?

+Spring Trap It's incredibly easy to get sonic 1 its on: the sega Genesis/megadrive, sonic jam for the sega Saturn, sonic mega collection for the gamecube, ps2, and xbox, sonic classic collection for the ds, the 3ds eshop, the iphone app store , sonic generations for the ps3 and 360, and there's even an awful gameboy advance port called Sonic genesis. So you can probably play it somehow.
