Sawyer Brown even now in 2023 these guys are still together. They’re still touring and they have over 30+ albums. I would say these guys were a huge success especially about 10 years after this. They ruled the 90s country sing. Still in my favorite band.

Thanks for the post. As a kid I looked at Star Search all the time. I especially enjoyed this season. T.Renee Crutcher was my favorite female vocalist and I think she should went all the way won the $100, 000. If you have more of this season please post

I agree. I think that she did not go all the way because her semifinal performance was weak. She looked and sounded nervous.
@robholly31644 жыл бұрын
@@williamhubal231 I think it was a set up; she probably would have won if sang the song she sang on this show
@williamhubal2314 жыл бұрын
@@robholly3164 What do you mean set up? I thought the vocalists chose the songs they wanted to sing. I did not quite understand what you meant.
@robholly31644 жыл бұрын
@@williamhubal231 First what I meant (and this is my opinion) by it being a setup it that out of all four of the singers the two best didn't make it to the finals. Second I am aware that they choose their songs; I'm just saying that if I was a judge in the semifinals and had she sang the song on this show right her "arthurs theme" instead the one that she sang I would have been inclined to choose her over Monica Pege

To me, its better to be late to the party than to never getting there at all. In a way I am in the same boat you are in only my tardiness if you can call it that is due to my only being one year old when they were on Star Search. They were actually my first concert when I was just four years old, but I only saw the first few minutes of their performance because I couldn't take how loud the music was and bawled like the baby that I still was pretty much. Now? I've been loving what is here of their Star Search days ever since I first saw each of the clips and right now I am waiting on my copies of their albums to get to me. Earlier this week I ordered every one of them except their Greatest Hit releases. Until I get what I am waiting on, they are the only ones that I already have. (smiles) God bless you and every member of the butt kicking band always!!! Holly in East Tennessee P.S. I did eventually see the guys from start to finish at the age of 11 or 12 and again on the 4th of July in 2005. I pray that at least one more time is possible in my opinion, they couldn't be anymore awesome. (smiles)

Star search bowed on September 10th IIRC(usually aired weekends, often Saturdays), and if this is week ten, it's probably from November 12, 1983, and the Chiefs miniseries aired on CBS Nov 13-16, 1983(three of four nights). Jim Photoglo was a singer who appeared in the first season of Star Search, and he'd already had two pop top 40/AC hits, We Were Meant to be Lovers in 1980 and FOol in Love with You in 1981. I wonder if this group Hot the same one who had a top 10 hit with ANgel in Your Arms six years earlier?
