One of the last remaining must drive series in my list has come true. Driving beginning from STAR Tollway Balagtas / Batangas Rotunda towards TPLEX Rosario Rotunda via SLEX Skyway and the newly opened Skyway Stage3, NLEX, SCTEX and TPLEX. I put a timer counter to count the actual travel time. Majority of the drive is under automated cruise control driving and speed varies from 95 to 100 kph and 60kph along the Skyway stage 3. There was a stop over and we paused the counter on a gasoline station (bladder break and tire PMS) and one stop over on Balintawak Toll Plaza due to lost easytrip card (we also paused the counter). This is the longest video I have uploaded on my channel and the biggest file size also. This is one of my ultimate joyride series that I have been planning for many many years, now with the opening of Skyway Stage 3 the seamless travel from Southern Tagalog to Ilocos region is a reality. At the end of the video I included the toll fee I have shell out minus Skyway Stage 3 since it is still under soft opening. My dream drive finally come true! Wishing for better transportation and mobility.

Totally agree with you on this one. Those stupid billboards ruined the beauty of the landscape especially the rice fields at the Candaba viaduct. The view is so beautiful during both planting and harvesting time when the fields turn into golden yellow. Billboards are the worst eyesore!

Skyway Alabang-Buendia looks like a mess now. They made the lanes way too narrow, they totally removed the already tiny shoulder to add more lanes, still no lay-bys, they fucked up the median barrier and useless runway toll plaza is still there. I prefer its old 2011-2017 look.

The best and longest video I've seen and the road in the Philippines are now good, you can travel from south to north freely no traffic and it's like same here from los angeles to san francisco in freeway 5. Thanks Demitri for sharing an informative road trip. The only different are toll fees.

Count, if they make true of the plan to extend this expressway up to Pagudpod then you will truly like it. Down south SMC is already constructing the TR4 which will extend the expressway to Quezon Province, the ultimate scenario is to reach Bicol Region in what is planned as the Luzon Spine.

I love the ricefields on both sides of TPLEX in Tarlac and Pangasinan. It made miss the former ricefields along SLEX between Carmona and Silangan, especially the areas where Eton City, Enchanted Kingdom/San Lorenzo South and Brentville now stand.

Once ko palang na try yung ganyang long travel from STAR Tanauan Exit to Santiago Ilocos Sur took me 8hrs travel (with 1 hr breakfast/lunch) pero sobrang saya at worth it gandan ng view sa north. It was on a non working holiday kaya sobrang luwag ng kalsada. Plano ko yon ulitin, at excited na ako maka daan ng skyway stage 3 at yung bagong extension ng tplex (yung sison exit ba yon). Sana matapos na din yung skyway extension sa alabang at mawala na etong covid.

Wow that's a long joyride from Batangas to La Union in just under 4 hours. Not bad though, what is bad is the speed limit. You were right, speed limit on expressways should increase from the current 100 to 120 km/h as the long travel will be boringsome. They can still use the 100 km/h speed limit if entering Suburban / NCR area but if its in rural area like Batangas, Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan and La Union, speed limit should be at 120 km/h.

The expressway should be designed at 140 kph+ to have the speed limit of 120 kph. I guess they made it on 120 kph, and due to safety issues, they had to limit the speed of 100 kph.
