Just wanted to put this here~ Dun = Dorsal stripe. Can come in other colors but always has the presence of a dorsal stripe. Buckskin = No stripe, usually that 'palomino' color just with a black mane, tail, and legs.

I haven't played this game in months but the new mustangs are amazing! I love how accurate they made the animations, personalities and coats. I'm conflicted with which one to get, I love the palomino, paint, appaloosa and bay roan!😍

I got the grey (gruello?) and named her Ash. I agree that the coat needs more texture, but I like the dark shade and love the markings...the stripes on the legs and dorsal stripe and the blaze. I really like white markings, and am disappointed that the other solid colored mustangs don't have them. But overall I like the update of this breed. (My first ever horse IRL was a mustang, so they have a special place in my heart.❤)

I bought grulla one, gave her short mane and named her Gem. i think it looks airbrushed too, but when i put reshade on, it looks very detailed. sso just made details basicaly the same color as base coat, and reshade makes them stand out more. its only reason why i have reshade👍 Only thing that i don't like about mustangs is that in hand/slow gallop front legs look like they don't extend and are a bit bent all the time. And oh whenever i see a appaloosa one, it looks like it has no eyes cuz pupil is a black dot and blue part looks like its maping of that dot lol

Little piece of horsy knowledge. If it doesnt have a dorsal stripe, and it doesnt have leg barring(leg stripes), it isnt dun. Dun can be on any color. Black dun is grulla. Bay dun is bay dun, dunskin is buckskin and dun, dunalino is palomino and dun. So you didnt like the horse because its buckskin, not because its dun. The bay roan is my personal favorite, next to picasso. The black one is also super clean

Quick trick to be able to gallop without having to race: groom and hoof pick your horse (it levels it up fast) and voilà! ;)

I believe sso really took their time with these mustangs and it shows. I absolutely love these horses and was actually excited for them for a while. I got the picasso one and named her Wildfire. I also really want the grullo, roan, and spotted one, though. It was so hard to choose between them. 😂

I 100% agree that the mustang animations make it so enjoyable to ride. Its my favorite horse to ride in the game now because of how free and flowy the animations are, its so nice! I've always loved spirit so I got the buckskin one, but I love the other options as well and wilk probably get another eventually.

This new bridles and clothes go together with saddlepads and saddles that were released together with starshine ranch, but they never added mathing clothes ect. So finally these sets are complete :')

I agree with most of what you said! The lack of detail is disappointing and I feel like a big factor is how the coats aren't shiny. It's annoying cause a healthy horse's coat is supposed to be shiny! And I think that the knees on the front legs are too high up? Also the reason you couldn't gallop in the race is that there's a bug that stops you doing that after going in the water, hope they fix it soon :T

Hey note on the strange hair style for the mustangs. It’s for realistic role plays. Here in the US when you get your mustang from the BLM, they are dirty and always have a matted mane and tail. These horses have never been touched by humans so it’s a big deal when they finally allow someone to sit with them and Comb out their hair. It usually takes months of someone building trust with them before the hose allows physical contact

There is a way to see special animations on low levels tho just press Q and walk for a second, stop and the option to perform the special animation will appear

I really like the new Mustangs. I bought the spirit look-alike because I have it in RDR2. The animations really remind me of RDR2 aswell. Overall it's one of the better horses we got in a while. :D

I am quite enjoying their training too, but it would be even better if my water was displaying correctly >< I'm one of those with the blue paint water problem ever since February, so seeing how beautiful your water is made me quite jealous e.e P.S. The "Special Move" preview when you're buying a Mustang is bugged (instead of performing the special move, the Mustang just stands still), but I've already reported it to SSO on FB and they said they would fix it asap, so hopefully :)) Also, unfortunately, the fact that you couldn't fast-gallop during the Valedale Lake race is another bug - whenever you get into the water with your Mustang, it is then "trapped" in the gallop gait, it can't go faster than that (until you re-saddle). But I've seen people already reporting that too so I hope this bug will soon be dealt with.

I get what you mean about the grullo! I still cant decide which to get, in the beginning it was all over the place but then I kindof was going between the grulla and bay roan. But in the game today when i was looking at them, the grulla just looks toooo smooth, like clay. The others look more like real horses, especially in the face. But idk 🤷🏼‍♀️ Think I just might go with the bay roan instead, saw people on it in game and it looked amazing 😫 They still are all so unique and pretty though!!

Bro same, I was literally wanting the Appaloosa mustang but when I saw it in game the face had too many spots and I felt like my brain was overloaded looking at the face.
