Same! Except the mare I take lessons with is a bit lazy at the walk, once we get trotting she starts speeding ahead and once we canter she starts trying to gallop, she doesn’t stop either so we have to circle her! 😂 She’s amazing though, seriously love her. We can’t take her on hacks or anything outside of the arena’s, can’t go cross country either since she bolts and doesn’t stop for anybody.

Choose Geronimo because he's super fancy. A great jumper and you could learn a lot more from his mistakes. With his ground work I think it will be hard to get him to stop biting but I think you should deffenently go with Geronimo.

He's not the best jumping horse because as you saw in the video Geronimo had refused a wooden cross country jump in the Arena and hadn't had the best manners but on the other hand Socks had a sweet temperment and had amazing jumping skills (over jumped them as well :D) and i know she wasn't the best at changing rein but honestly Violet can work with that and as a 10 year old she still has potential. Great opinion though, just think that Socks has a better chance even if she's spooky i think Violet is only planning to school than Hack (trail ride).

Great opinion, but I wouldn't want to lease a horse who is PERFECTLY made already, I would like to get to know a NEW horse, like Geronimo, as with Socks, Violet has already ridden Socks. Geronimo has a bit more to learn so she can train him some more, which with Socks, you cannot since Socks knows pretty much everything. I'm not hating on your comment, just stating my opinion just like you put yours down here. Great opinion, though! :)

I like Geronimo, for the purposes of leasing/ buying! I think you could learn alot from him and he can certainly learn a lot from you. I think it would make for some good bonding moments and show him that its okay to be nice and what not on the ground manners situation. I had a horse like that, she was stunning and had beautiful movement however she was a grumpy gal, and It just took some time for her to warm up and trust me. She is now the sweetest horse I own! I think it would be a fun time for you and Geronimo to face these different challenges!

In my opinion, the Jorvik "Starter" Ponies are too small for us to be riding. It would honestly be more practical for them to hang out in a paddock or something. They're much too small for us to be riding. I mean, compare your character to a jump. Either we're two years old, or everything else is huge.

Geronimo! I know everyone is saying Socks, but here is my reasoning. Though Socks is sweet, forgiving, and an honest ride, it's easy. On her, you would have a great show season, but on Geronimo you would learn a lot! You would be able to learn how to really correct your distances, think about potential mistakes, and with Socks being spooky it's just impractical. Anyway, just my opinion. :) Beautiful video!

I would say Geronimo would perhaps be the better option for leasing a horse. True, you would have to train him and have to learn to manage him, I feel like both you and Geronimo would enjoy each other and learn a lot from the experience. I love Socks but if I am going to be honest, I think Geronimo is the best option. You are a really good rider and I think that riding a more challenging horse with help you become an even better rider. You could only learn so much on Socks... I think it'd be Geronimo because he's better for a lease, without getting to attached. You get to know him on the saddle but not as much as off it.. which is the downside. But Geronimo will teach you a lot for as long as you lease him and if you want to go far in your jumping/hunter shows then he's the better pick. And also since he is more fancy "Show hunters as a group are judged on manners, way of going, and conformation. Turnout, the presentation of horse and rider, are often taken into account as well" -google So this is only my opinion, don't attack me lol I love you videos!

Poor, sweet Geronimo :( I used to ride at Goldenleaf Stables, and I leased a horse there, his name was Midnightcheif, aka Midnight. This story has a good ending, though! They didn't want him, because he was having trouble being broken in, so I bought him! I had some trouble, too, but he and his mom were rescued, so I don't blame him for being a little skittish. I'm surprised to hear about the handsome boy Geronimo because my experience was great 🙈 (update on Midnight; he has twelve gold medals in show jumping and seven in dressy 🤩🌟🐴) (he has two in cross country and a second-place medal in hunter, but he just started)
