Jade is a very fine horse! I have a question however, what tip should I use for a young horse who is learning to refuse jumps rather than complete them? She is a 6 year trakehner mare, and I bought her privately at golden leaf stables. The people there seem genuine enough, so I’m not sure if it’s something I’m doing or? Any feedback Adelaide around this subject? I want cookie to be a great horse one day.

I recommend getting your horse a trainer to pinpoint the issue, and help you fix it! :D The best trainers are usually at New Hillcrest, Mistfall and Jorvik Stables, and aren't too pricey. Usually a trainer, through just a couple of rides can find the problem, and not only train your horse but help educate you as well on what you may be doing wrong on your day to day rides :D

AdelaideEventing alright, thanks Adelaide. This helps so much! I’m born n’ raised South Hoof, so I know New Hillcrest quite well. I’ve heard of a few trainers down there, but I normally just go to New Hillcrest to go to the market etc. but when I’m down there next, I’ll pop in to the stables. Once again thank you, but also, have you ever had troubles like this before? I live right by the vet ranch, so I have already vet checked for anything that’s making jumping uncomfortable, but as far as they could see, she was fine

Ahh I remember that mare, I’m the manager of Golden leaf Stables, she used to be a very good jumper and she never refused with me? I always let her look at the jumps first when she was at Golden Leaf.

Push her over the fences lots of leg. If she is running out on them use your opposite leg to push her back in over the fence and lots of clicking and encouragement over the fence and give her lots of rein over it.

My buckskin connemara mare hasn't been ridden in 1 week! Oh she was fresh today when I was doing some warm up in the riding hall. I don't know if I should do cross country with her tomorrow, she is really fresh but I suppose cross country would not be bad for her, but I would need advice from a professional please.

Hmmm, I think she would find cross country a blast, but I would do one more flatwork ride just to get her back into the swing of things before you take her out for a jolly ride in the countryside ;)

Hey there, so I have a beautiful mare, she is a Friesian. I love doing cross country but whenever I seem to get to the cross country tracks in Firgrove she refuses, she stops right before the jump, and I'll move her back and go again but she still is refusing, any help? I've been working with her in Mistfall at the arena and she is totally fine, but everything we go to Firgrove, she refuses, so is it something I doing or should I keep working with her?

Hey there! My name is Madelyn Sapphiresteel, and I have a couple questions to ask. So I have a Connemara pony mare called Firefly aka Eve, and she is my all rounder pony. I find her personality is great, and she is an amazing horse when it comes to tacking up, loading into the trailer and more, but when I take her out for training she becomes very frisky when she is around other horses in arenas and shows. This does prevent me from training her as much as I would like to because, she is an awesome horse and it's a shame that she gets so nervous around other horses (besides the ones that live at our barn). If there are any tips on how to handle a horse who get's spooked around other horses easily, then please comment down below. Also, I would really like a lesson with you, so is there a possibility I could get one with Firefly? If there is please contact me again! Thanks ❤️❤️❤️
