Also, Derek WAS please Alex sexually, did you not see that they had upgraded their sexual encounters to 🐱 eating? She began to get lost because she was 19 taking care of a paralyzed Derek which she didn’t sign up for and it overwhelmed her. She signed up to sing and make a name for herself and they were not remotely together long enough for that type of stress on a relationship when he was potentially gonna be paralyzed for life. Alex never tried to go solo either, she got a sponsor and all she ever talked about was “Take 3” “My Girls” and so on, the DIFFERENCE between Star and Alex was when Maurice came at both of them Alex blew him off and made it clear she had no interest in existing outside of the girls whereas Star let him get in her head even though she CORRECTLY called him out and then she pulled a stunt to project herself into the spotlight which SHE HERSELF SAID was what she wanted. She got played and she deserved every bit of that slap.

This feud between Alex and Star was inevitable, even if Noah hadn't come along. I think that Alex is doing what she feels like she needs to do which is what the label want her to do because at the end of the day if you don't keep the label happy you get kicked to the background then cut. With that said, Star is hungry and has to find some way of staying relevant and becoming known as well or she will be left in the dust while Alex (no matter how inadvertently) is pushed into a solo career. They both are working with the situations that they are given and utilizing the only skill sets they have. Star is hella ruthless sometimes and all about preserving herself which may cause her to lose friends but it is the only way she knows how to achieve her dreams. Alex is hella complacent and not willing enough to take big risks for her group so, she's going to lose them but she has drive and talent that will carry her as a solo artist. As for all this Noah business, fuck Noah, he is just all about drama. He is no good for either of them.
