I love the concept of this being a real messed up flight plan on a ship filled with civvies avoiding catastrophe after catastrophe. Since a lot of us likely just came from the airport (who aren't locals), this adds just that much more the the immersion. A lot of that gets lost in the Rebel Spy plot.

So much is lost. This has so much momentum that just keeps building and it's a REAL visit to the movie we love. My young son loved this on our annual visits, but when they changed it he had no interest in ever riding it again!

Awesome quality. In Disneyland Paris i was on that ride and i had panic the full ride. It was very cool, but this was a very new experience for me.

This was and still is my favorite version of the Star Tours ride. I also preferred the original queue design with the space junk at Hollywood Studios as opposed to the one with the suitcases.

I’m just now realizing that Star Tours combined Return of the Jedi with A New Hope. You go to the forest moon of Endor, yet you participate in the trench run that brought down the first Death Star. I also feel like the detour through the comets is almost like Hoth and the asteroid field from Empire Strikes Back combined.

Star Tours actually had an attack on Death Star 4. Starkiller Base in The Force Awakens was Death Star 37.

Exactly, this ride was a combination of all three films of the Original Trilogy, known back then simply as the Star Wars Trilogy. It gave us a taste of all three films that had been released at the time. ANH's Death Star assault with a ESB style flight through an asteroid field (albeit comets here but the spirit is the same) and all the while we're visiting Endor from RotJ.

I remember being 8 or 9 years old and experiencing this for the first time in Paris. First ride of the kind I ever did, that initial drop had me in panic, but the whole thing had me ecstatic, especially feeling part of the Death Star trench run! So great to see the whole ride once again.

In my opinion this was the best bit of Star Wars after the original trilogy. It really made you believe you were in THAT galaxy for 4 1/2 minutes. Everything else since hasn't been quite as good, whether its the prequels or sequels or other stuff.

The updated versions are neat in their own way but man you really can't beat the classic. I remember riding this the first time as a little kid, maybe 7 or 8? Already a big fan of the trilogy, wide eyed and awe struck getting to fly through space and zip through the trench run on the Death Star

After returning home my parents rented the movies on VHS from the video store for me, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I went on this ride back in 1992 when my friends and I went to EuroDisney (as Disneyland Paris was called back then) and it was a fantastic ride although we had to wait ages standing in a queue to get on it but the wait was worth it but the way the ride was put together was amazing for it worked very well so much so that my friends son who was six years old at the time looked at me when we got off the ride and asked me if we had actually gone into space but sadly I can't remember if I told him the truth and said that we hadn't or whether I told a white lie and said that we had but seeing how amazed and excited he was I may have said that we had gone into space to keep his excitement alive but to tell you the truth I also thought we had gone into space too for it was that good but I am going to send this video to him so that he might remember the lovely three days that he had at EuroDisney and of the amazing adventure that he had in space all those years ago.
