Before moving back to the boring required stuff I created a couple of more video series for the @OddonomousSpace . Both are actually the existing programs but I added a trail (not as easy as it sounds and I definitely will explain why.)
Sound is just 50ms faded noises playing on a sequence of random HZ every half a second. The sequence is random but it is a pattern that repeats.
This star pattern usings X-Add, Y-Add and Z-Sine-Y. Which means the X and Y just increment. The Z position is sine of (Y).
Stars have a mixture of patterns, from changing hue's, to changing brightness. Sometimes, but rarely, they'll travel their own course.
The reason it's not as easy as it looks to copy the code. Each star was an object, it's much faster this way as the computer will build 32 at once. I have built in the option to not clear what was previously drawn. The problem is, this is all per 3D object not overall. It'll be very slow if I built this in to the overall video.
So to enable star trails keeping what it has previously drawn it simply is all one object. Which means I have to rewrite the mathemetics for 2000 stars. Each object only needs to know normally it is x, y and z and the mathematics is built in to figure out where to put it on the screen. So this is the mathematics I have to rewrite just to have star trails. All for the sake of curosity :)
