I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel like New Kirk is under a lot more pressure then Kirk Prime.

I know that William Shatner will always be the Prime Kirk, but I for one love to watch both roles, and think about who Kirk is in both worlds (the movie and TOS are in alternate universes). And that's when I realize what reinterpreting Kirk did for the general public, those who only know "Star Trek" as an "old stereotype." It allowed them to see Trek with fresh eyes. For once, there's no stereotype, no sarcasm - they got to meet Kirk and see for themselves why we always knew he was a badass!

tos is the best... i gave the new movie an open mind... did not enjoy it... too much extreme close ups... shitty music... too much of everything... less is more... genius is simplicity... and that movie is not star trek ... its an insult... we dont agree so what?
