Interesting... I was not expecting the Miranda to win the first one at all. So, this proves it wasn't just luck and guile that Kahn was able to damage the Enterprise so severely. Though the Constitution Refit was the clear winner, this proves the Miranda is no pushover on its own.

The Connie Refit was a Heavy Cruiser, and the Miranda a Light Cruiser so the two classes are pretty evenly matched, the major advantage the Connie Refit has is its more powerful warp core that gives it stronger shields and marginally more powerful phasers despite having the same phaser type.

I always imagined the two classes to be pretty even. For BC I gave the Connie Refit slightly better shields and hull and better phaser coverage, whilst the Miranda has better forward firepower and aft torpedoes. Seems to work!

@@crownprincesebastianjohano7069I want to say I read somewhere that the warp core and main energizers mentioned in the movie, are much larger on the enterprise, resulting in much stronger shields and more plentiful phaser power. Beta canon stuff I’m sure
