Here is a video showing some of the modifications and upgrades to a large scale De-Boers 1701 Enterprise kit. Some crazy pearl finishing on a Large model. Plenty more to come on this one thats for sure.

Machining meets model-making, and really well done. Solving several of the weaknesses we 21st century people face when representing the future with our modern day methodologies.

Sir I’ve seen a lot of refit models and I gotta say this is fantastic! Great job . I’m about to start another I hope it’s a quarter as good . I always have trouble with the pylons they always give out and the warp engines fall I’ll use cement this time or something lol

This is amazing work!! Did you use a CNC to cut the metal armature out or did you cut it by hand?
@APmodels11 күн бұрын
Thank you. The armature was laser cut by a specialist company to my design. I hope this helps out, and thanks for watching the videos. :-)

Beautiful job on this kit! I'm wanting to do an armature for my 1/350 refit. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this without designing it using CAD? I thought about using carbon fiber.

Sounds good. Any extra support will come in hand im sure. If your lighting the nacelles, thin carbon fibre tubes makes a great conduit for the wires, just add a few inside the pylons and root them well into the body.

Andy , did you say that you used a sheet of fiberglass in the warp engine to mute the Color?
@APmodels4 ай бұрын
Yes, i used a folded section of fibreglass cloth. It just removed the hot spots from the LED's and diffused the light nicely. :-)

1/350 is cool but 1/200 is going to be great:
