I love it, it's amazing! The only detail I saw that seems to be off is that the black panel with the giant round light should be gray along the front edge instead of red, but that's nitpicking, and I have seen other fan Transporters that did the same. So impressed and really wish I had something like this myself! :-)

Update it if you pull the sliders down to fast you get that poof sound. Scotty will have to quickly run up the Jefferies tube and fix it in another room.

The left and right graphics displays could be lcd panels, basically free at thrift nowadays, same for the center circular display. Just show the circle graphic inside a 4x3 monitor mounted undernearh, mask off perimeter. Then video files or luve graphics could show targets to beam up, and side displays with episode specific gfx and tos appropriate fan gfx

COOL! Wherever did you find the component parts to match the show's transporter?? Only one thing I've noticed, in the show it always seems the three sliders went up to beam down and down to beam up. But that's nitpicky I'm sure

Not sure if you're active on this thread but would love some advice since I'm building a transporter inspired box (approx 8"x5.5"). If you're out there, I'd love some info on left side console materials (slider/faders, light display, rocker switches). Thanks in advance.

The rocker switches are getting pretty near impossible to find. I don't think they've been produced for decades. You should take a look here for other items: www.trekpropsandstuff.com

Imagine what life would be like with the real transporter beam technology - nothing would be safe. Vaults and museums wouldn’t be able to keep anything. Car thieves could steal your ride from thousands of miles away. No wonder there’s no money in that time. How could you keep it?
@Hclann1 Жыл бұрын
Read the stars my destination, by Alfred Bester. People learn to teleport themselves, nothing is safe, it changes the world. You have to know where you are and where you want to go to teleport, so criminals are kept in caves in the dark and the guards use a type of night vision and infrared lights to.see.
@brianarbenz7206 Жыл бұрын
@@Hclann1 Can't wait. for that time to arrive!
@crocoboxer4 ай бұрын
You could only release the technology if you also released a 100% surefire way to stop beaming to any location. Can't have people beaming into homes, bank vaults, each other, etc. It would need to be very tightly controlled. If the technology were widespread, you would put every person in any travel, transport, shipping or related industry out of a job immediately. In real estate, location would become almost irrelevant. No need for cars, trucks, buses, airplanes, trains, warehouses, hotels, etc. There are no "out of the way" places anymore. It would be a giant shock to society and affect us in ways we can't even imagine.
@brianarbenz72064 ай бұрын
@@crocoboxer Not that the technology would ever be possible, but if it were, it would have to be as tightly controlled as nuclear material is in our era.
