Just 2026?! They timed it quite correctly. If we take their reality into account, then the war will turn nuclear and leave a short nuclear winter. With the recent tension between Russia and the US we could be much closer. I just hope we realize it's starting and don't get a surprise. Fifty years later The Eugenic Wars for you, sir!

This was one of the most memorable musical moments in the movie. Joel Goldsmith did a bang up job with it. I always liked the way he incorporated the Star Trek theme into this section in a way that sounded like the theme was 'evolving' into the triumphant theme it would eventually become. It was very appropiately done considering the context within the film. The theme was evolving the same way humanity was in the act of 'growing up' as a species in perhaps the most pivotal moment in the history of the Federation.

I didn't realize they re-released the soundtrack. This being missing always bothered me. Sooooo many tracks with the Borg clomping around yet this was left off?
What's interesting to me is that even though Borg "society" mostly resembles that of social insects, I always felt their associated music had a reptilian feel to it. That's just my interpretation, not sure how others feel. As a side note, it makes good music for gamers battling zombies.

My only complaint with this movie in terms of the editing... I really wish the Borg stuff had just gotten the EFF out of the way between the launch and warp flight of the Phoenix. At that point I didn't care about the borg stuff. I wanted to see the Phoenix stuff. Cochrane, Riker and all of them down on the planet were doing something that mattered to me.

One Borg ship managed to destroy several Federation ships. They should have sent more, fools. I'll never understand the Borg, they have so many ships but they are like a silly AI. They don't send the bloody ships over there!
@bandora8 жыл бұрын
I think one possible reason for that is that they think they're superior to literally everyone else. So, they get cocky and send one ship (because it's not worth sending more).
@bandora8 жыл бұрын
But they've got Picard and/or Janeway to deal with..
@marcocappelli22368 жыл бұрын
bandora Considering that the one that rules them all is a conscious humanoid, it would be no surprise if the Borg behaved strategically...EMOTIONAL (Take That, Borg Queen!). So the Borg are not like a bad AI but like a bad, cocky player. I had never thought that posibility. If not, it would be a major plot hole.
@bandora8 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I would love to see an epic movie about a Borg invasion of the Federation (like a MAJOR invasion by the Borg).. Something similar to what happened in DS9 (between the Dominion and the Federation)... And having Janeway + Picard with their respective crews team up to go to the source and then defeat them. Also, show the struggle between the Federation trying to save itself vs save it's values.
@marcocappelli22368 жыл бұрын
bandora That's unlikely, unfortunately, because Janeway destroyed the trans-warp conduit leading to Earth. Damn you, Janeway! Although, yes, it would be great.
