The Amalgam comes with a basic hostile hunt grinding loop as part of its progression. Coupled with being a powerful survey and base resource sponge with its unique ship ability, and refinery that allows you to source and pull Honorguard Worf and ship refit shards, you have a decent multipurpose cargo inflating super miner.

Morska is closer for the Klingon set of systems for housing. Also, if you take a warship in a system, and clear the non salvage ships, it makes the salvage ships spawn. I usually run 2 amalgams and 1 ship killing warships whole time, and the amalgams are never waiting lol

Great tip, thank you for checking in! I'll have to give that a try and see how it goes. I'm on the fence on picking up another Amalgam. It's either that, or another Meridian.

Gotcha! Camping for a bit is a popular tactic, I did it at 39 for a bit (not long given I spend to support the content), but definitely recommended for many. You're right, you can't have too many good miners and especially if you're into base raiding and such, which I still don't think I've even tried cracking a base yet. :)
