Recently bought the same one for a Halloween costume. If you just tape a quarter or similar object inside at top of screen, it will flip open and shut with a flick of the wrist. Once you see how that works, figure out a better way to add a weight in position (eg a small metal rod + hot glue gun). Going to hardware store today. I think a small brass bolt could work or maybe a couple of brass nuts or washers hot-glued on.
