This ending is like a president leaving the White House for the very last time i.e. getting up from his chair, looking one more time at his office, then walking out into the public with a smile on his face.

Yes, thank you! Paramount+ just cut it off and this was the bit we couldn’t see.

I like Nemesis. I know others don't but this is what I grew up with. I learned a long time ago that not every movie that is made is going to be perfect, and that there will always be mistakes. Besides, if every Star Trek Movie was perfect and flawless, it would mean nothing.

Is one of the few fond memories I have of spending time with my dad. He wasnt the greatest dad, but I remember watching Star Trek TNG on a black and white TV with him, and that started a lifelong fascination with the series. I know Jerry Goldsmith went all out for the end credits of First Contact and Insurrection, but I feel that for this movie he went back to his roots. The theme sounds stripped back of all its bells and whistles.

I really think what you've done is so amazing. I've always wanted something like this available. I'm a conductor and a composer, a fan of Jerry Goldsmith and particularly his star trek scores. I would so love to see some of the other Goldsmith scored trek films done like you have Nemesis. A lot of work and super appreciative of you having done Nemesis though. Must be a lot of work!

This is actually the "soundtrack ending": the actual closing credits were much more intense. But I can also tell that both Goldsmith and the orchestra were winding down after all that. For the "Enterprise" theme, Goldsmith took it more slowly than usual and even the orchestra sounds tired. He died shortly after composing the score for _Looney Tunes: Back in Action_ .
@jmwoods190 Жыл бұрын
As much as I love Jerry Goldsmith as well as the Nemesis soundtrack(and all the previous ST soundtracks he composed), I feel that actual closing credits sequence of Nemesis was noticeably less coherent and the tracks just didn't quite blend smoothly to one another. It would've made more sense if the final battle theme(the intense part) came in later at 5:29 then as the final chord dies away it transitions the reprise of the 'Enterprise' theme.
@joe9739 Жыл бұрын
@@jmwoods190that's more of the editor. And the reason the Star Trek March is slower, it kind of punctuates the finality of it.... It's a beautiful score, but has an inherent sadness to it...

Yes and it’s superior to this one. I’m actually blown away. It’s the best main theme in my opinion, second perhaps only to Star Trek 5. The martial elements are too heavy in this version for my tastes. Still good tho.

@@alfredvalrie5541 Star Trek 5 and First Contact I think have the best renditions of the theme next to the Season 3 ending of Picard! When I heard the music buildup during the ending, I was like, "No way. Are they gonna play the theme?" And then boom, theme kicks in and I'm thinking "YES!!! THEY DID IT!!! THEY BROUGHT THE THEME BACK!!!

@@sguinn91 my feelings exactly, and they nailed the theme. i'm amazed at how great it is. they really nailed the theme and the card playing scene at the end of the finale.
@sguinn91 Жыл бұрын
@@alfredvalrie5541 What's awesome about the card scene is it was all improv. The actors were pretty much being themselves while being their characters at the same time. Makes sense to go that way, cause not only were the characters family to one another,but so were the actors.
