You memorialized your wife with a Trek Film. Probably one of the most awesome tributes one can make. I've chosen to memorialize mine in spectacular, creative fashion, too. I'm heartened to know I'm not the only Widower that's decided to do something like this.

I just rewatched your film. I have to say your love of the material shines through-- and is the embodiment of what a true fan film really is all about. Your acting and guest stars were wonderful, and the visual effects were fantastic. A good story, cleverly told. Thanks for sharing this with all of us-- and congratulations on making your fan film a reality. You should be proud. I wish you and your beautiful dog the best. Well done, indeed! LLAP

@@SteveNeill This was a fantastic little story, sir. While I don't know you and yours, this film had the feel and tone of TOS down to the bone. I miss this Star Trek, and you reminded me why.

Horrible Starfleet Captain...he was allowed to go beyond maximum warp on an emergency mission and he orders warp 5 (!). He is being attacked be a Romulan Bird of Prey and he is massaging his dog.

Agreed…..from a military perspective and from Starfleet training there is so much wrong with this it’s laughable!!! He should have never been give command of the Enterprise…… he’s nothing but a damn desk bound paper pusher, at least Commodore Stocker would have been better!!!!

That was great, I loved it. And I also loved the design of the Sirius even though it was just in the beginning. My condolences for you losing your late wife. I'm sure you made an awesome team. Personally, as a fan of all things scifi, I have watched many of your works in the past Mr. Neill and loved all the work that you and others had put into them. I have great respect for those in the special effects/special makeup & prosthetics profession. And as someone who wishes to play a background alien in Star Trek or some other franchise some day, frankly you deserved to play a Klingon since you actually worked in the franchise. If no one in the fandom has ever told you this then I will. Thank you for all the work that you have done and continue to do.

Loved it but, have to point out that all headings you were giving were in 2 dimensional coordinates. You have to put the Z coordinates also. A heading of just 175 could put them light years off target without the 3rd degree.

You had some version of this up a while back-- glad it's finished. Looks great, minor flaws and all. I think the "bit of business" with the data block to suggest intensity is genius! (Ahem, I provided them when I discovered that the original props were a 1/4" thick-- matching my available hunks of Sintra styrene!) Alas, you could have used a two-legged plucky sidekick in the form of one Lieutenant JG Brown, for comic relief. (I see myself a stowaway who turns up just in time to re-wire something that Rosie chewed-- picture me with my butt in the air and head-down in the base of a command console-- oh, the yucks.) But I was too far away.

This is so beautifully and lovingly made, with a passion and dedication to the story and meaning that I am constantly searching for in new Trek, which I enjoy but feel different about than I do about the older versions, which nothing can ever replace in my heart. There's a kind of love in Star Trek fanfiction and fan movies that no big budget, heavy special effects can evoke for me. I don't know how to explain it as eloquently as it deserves, but I hope you understand. I love this for so many reasons, and I just want to let you know how very deeply I respect and appreciate your work. Thank you, and LLAP! ❤
