Does anybody else think chapel killed him not mbanga , everyone thinks chapel watched from behind the frosted glass , rewatch, she comes in from a room behind his desk, which the knife is still in the case and they both walk away from desk , chapel walks in and then you see the frost glass scene . I think she defended Mbanga by throwing the knife and Mbanga covered for her . Please rewatch

Mbenga mentioned earlier that biobed was giving him trouble recently and at the end of the episode he finally fixed it, only for it to immediately start acting up again when he left. It's supposed to just signify that he got past his issues for now but he's still broken inside. The ambassador is definitely dead. Also they showed the Discovery Klingons to reference the Klingon war and their battle cry that Ortegas talked about.

i think they are going to use discovey klingons as a another kind of klingons like now we have two kinds of romulans the south romulans and north romulans(forehead ridges)

To be sure, the Klingon Empire is an Empire, right? Could easily be more than one species that has integrated into Klingon culture, even from various planets.

The flashback to the Klingon War in Discovery in the recap was just meant to remind people about the events that took place then, as well as the mantra that T’Kuvma and his followers used to chant “Remain Klingon”. Don’t worry about how different the Klingons were in Discovery. People have got WAY too heated over that on Twitter, which was probably why we didn’t even see live-action Klingons again for so long.🙄Anyway, as others have said, M’Benga has definitely killed the Ambassador. The biobed continuing to malfunction at the end was just meant to symbolise how volatile and easily-breakable M’Benga’s mental state still is.

but its also why these new Klingons are so good so.......all that backlash served a purpose. Star Trek is in freaking fantastic shape now. the only time I would say it was in better shape was that small time window when we got ds9 and tng at the same time.

@@ablaze1989 We’re certainly in a golden age of Trek right now. I grew-up in the era of TNG, DS9 and Voyager, but this feels even better than that time. We’ve got so much Trek on the go at the moment, all of which is high-quality in every way.😀👏

I don't understand why this isn't the normal POV of this episode. People are so damn blinded by rage nobody thinks they just immediate blow up social media.

Don't worry M'Benga, Phlox still has a higher body count.

The last 4 episodes of the season were an emotional roller coaster... comedy crossover to Klingon War PTSD to musical to Gorn horror, haha. I thought the decision to put that last fight behind the frosted glass was a genius decision. Nobody knows for sure what happened except M'Benga. Even the timing of them cutting from the knife to seeing them behind the glass is mid-tussle. So we don't know who started it, we don't know who grabbed the knife, we just know that it ended with the knife in the General's chest. I can 100% see a traumatized M'Benga being pushed a little too far and he had enough. I can also see the General panicking because M'Benga is the only one who knows his entire legacy is built on a lie. It was a ballsy move, but leaving the ending nebulous was just masterful direction. I think this will come around again, and maybe we'll get answers at that point. But for now.... we're going to be spending the rest of the show going forward with that lingering question of whether or not M'Benga is a cold-blooded murder.

In my head canon the Big headed Klingons were the result of some Family houses inbreeding trying to avoid the augment DNA that happened in Enterprise. As a result making them rather mentally unstable and most of them Died during the War. After the War you have mostly regular Klingons and Smooth headed Augment Klingons. Though in the background of episode one this season you do see a big headed Klingon in the background along with regular Klingons.

13:59 17:46 remember when the andorian was about to start his operation and chapel said all they needed was meat for the grinder, those soldiers were used as cannon fodder for the special ops team

M'Benga is storing people he can't help, right now, in the transport buffer the same way he was storing his daughter in season 1. I'm surprised they haven't developed a seperate storage device equivalent to a flash drive or sd card to store patterns in that don't require constant power input.

After one of the funniest episode in trek history we got one of the darkest. I was thinking about DS9 O’Briens comment in that episode: “I don’t hate you cardassian. I hate what I became because of you.” M'Benga clearly hated his past and just wanted to move on and save lives just like O'Brien did when he moved into the ops/engineering track.
