This song is so understated but still powerful. The characterization is so strong, from the second the music starts, where Una nods to herself and goes to grab the padd so she can make the most of the song, while La'an's eyes are wide because she is terrified of what might come out.

This is the song that circles us back to last week, it cuts to Chapel and M'Benga when she is talking about secret you keep deep inside, obviously when know that kind of stuff that they're dealing with. "Keep you awake" Chapel probably has a hard time falling asleep. "Cut like a knife" cuts to M'Benga, this one is self explanatory lol

Dad would have loved this so much! Road trips were so much fun with good music. He had a really great voice when he was a space race programmer. We should have known HMS Pinafore was more than just the proms for him and my mother. She passed a few months before the landing in 1969, so we left him to his grief when he played the 1948 Wichita version. They graduated in KCMO and he joined the navy at age 17 to be a corpsman. He was nerdy, but Mom was his gorgeous class president.

This episode has really opened up areas of the heart that music seems to clearly pierce so effectively. It is amazing how music seems to elevate thoughts and feelings and lets them become expressed in song. This had some very personal and funny moments. Excellent idea on the quantum field loop.
