These two have such great buddy buddy chemistry, which makes them being cast in the roles of Spock and Kirk all the more epic. lol Have to admit it though, I'm one of those ridiculous screaming fans Chris mentioned. XD Love ya Zachary, you're so amazing, keep it up. ^^ If I'm being perfectly honest with myself, Zachary is my fav of the cast... but ...just the same, everyone was well cast and did an excellent job, just excellent. Both of these fine actors really made the movie for me.. Well I am a lifetime Star Trek fan-one who was originally horified when TSNG came out--how dare they mess with Trek? LOL This movie, in my view anyway was everything plus far more than I had hoped for. I can see millions of people being brought into the Star Trek world with it and also great satisfaction for all us Trek fanatics. Can't wait for the next one. JJ did an amazing job renewing the life of 'this franchise' I want MORE!!

I didn't say I thought Chris Pine was a bad actor because he was in romantic comedies. I never thought he was a bad actor, I just didn't pay much attention to him until I saw him do something else. What I don't like his how all these interviews and articles I've been reading about him are only bringing up the fact that he was in romantic comedies before he was in Star Trek. I just think he deserves more credit than that.

Chris is fantastic in that movie. That role was so different for him and he totally blew me away. @workstrength "Rebooting" the original series was a huge risk. I remember being skeptical when, back in 2007, it was announced that they were really doing it and that J.J. Abrams was at the helm. With J.J. attached to the project, I felt a little more calm because I knew he did good, creative work, but as a die-hard fan I feared that this could either be really good, or really, really bad. But then the trailer came out, and I felt like this was going to be a great retelling for a new age. =)
